The shows back then blow away anything they come out with today. And they weren't on expensive cable TV, locked behind some greedy network's subscription paywall. I miss those days. Just buy a TV, hook it up and free TV forever!
@@artchem1Millions of people disagree with you! For the simple reason, Barney Miller was a hilarious sitcom. It was always entertaining! I love a dry sense of humor, myself.
@@richardfrost416 Did you by chance, read my comment about “ Nick “ Jack Soo? I love Barney Miller, that comment I stated, was from a different comment ! In which this person slandered The “ Barney Miller “ Series .. I had no intention, of offending anyone! It was a misplaced comment, to another person’s unkind comment about my favourite Series- aka Barney Miller ( pS richardfrost, my iPhone has been hacked by my former banker whom is using my name and a username with my banks name at the end . I’ll share 2 different screenshots, with you as tangible evidence of this horrible person- who quit, after taking money out of my bank account, using all of my personal information she had to open my Savings Account! )
@@richardfrost416 pS richardfrost .. 4 months ago I was having foot surgery from breaking 5 bones after hurricane Nicole hit the east coast and Hurricane Ian left the Gulf coast in shambles to this very day 🥲
robertfrost.....view my comments above .... MY PERSONAL , FAVOURITE SHOW IS M* A* S* H .....It gives war in the MEDICAL FIELD a CLOSER LOOK HOW THOSE ...IN THE WAR...( like NAM) A better understanding of what our boys went through.! My brother REFUSED to talk about NAM...total difference upon his arrival home!!! Were YOU, in NAM?????
Jack soo was great he was so artistic. He played in flower drum song and perfectly modern Milly and Hawaii 5 O. It was so sad when he passed away. Great show!
When EXACTLY did he pass on? I know the show was still on the air; they aired a commemorative episode devoted to "Nick Yamana", but I don't remember the time period clearly.
@@garytiptin6479 in season 5 jack soo passed they also did a tribute to him and his character in that season and one before seemed do more emotional acting and given more substance to his character
i was saying tonight.. thinking on how good acting writing was done back then. the people were 1 of a kind. made from the times lived in. life expirences.. today cant compare.
Newest generations are spoiled rotten.Their parents were never allowed to spank them. No discipline and both parents are always at work trying to pay for the bare essentials.
I used to sneak in the hall after mom put us to bed and watch this every week! I'd laugh and get sent to bed only to sneak back out. It was after my time!
One of the coolest best comedies that was on TV back in the day.I don’t do TV anymore got rid of it over five years ago too much nastiness on it today not fun to watch anymore.
Barney Miller - the best sitcom EVER. Loved all the main characters as well as the extras. What a wonderful show. Endless thanks to whomever uploaded these. I'd love to see all seven years. It was my favorite 70's & early 80's sitcom. 🥰
@@glennatkinson9948 nothings better. Or worse. It's personal. I love BM more than AITF. Each character resonated with me from Nick to Luger to Dietrich to Harris to Levit to Scanlon.
I say the same thing when ever I sit down and watch the 1honeymooners... I've watched those episodes at least 1000 times... And I never get tired of watching each episode...
"Many things look bleak at the moment of occurrence, but at least we ain't got locusts." 🤣😂 Jack Soo delivered some of the best lines. He was awesome! They were all exceptional talent. Thank God for good writers and great actors. Otherwise, we wouldn't have the joy of reruns.
When I was a little girl we went to Disney Land we were in line for a ride with Jack Soo. My Dad & him were telling jokes to each other & both laughing hysterically. My Dad said to me he's one of the Guy's on Barney Miller. I didn't know what he was talking about. LoL And their jokes were way over my head so I didn't appreciate it at the time. My Dad said he was a great guy.
SO TRUE ONE OF THE BEST SIT COMS, AND COP SHOWS EVER, AND I JUST WANT TO THANK ALL THE NOSTALGIA T.V STATIONS FOR RUNNING BARNEY MILLER AND ALL THE GREAT OLD T.V. SHOWS, ME T.V., FE TV, CATCHY COMEDY, DECADES, COMFI T.V., ANTENNA T.V., TV LAND, INSPIRATION, OVATION, WTEN-2, WTEN-3, WGN-TV, AND MORE!!!!GARY BAILEY KING OF DARKNESS COZI - T.V.,WTEN-4, FAMILY,
Why wouldn't they be different? This is America the melting pot, and NYC. WHY DO PEOPLE ACT LIKE WE INTEGRATED yesterday?? It's been this was forever in spite of the lies of history books!
Fish running and jumped over them like” what do you call the one in Africa that runs and jumps high”, Harris: slaves. The look on their faces when he said that. Now that was pure timing and gold. I’m still laughing. Thanks for the memories.
@@Atrain34 omg I know! And I also noticed how excellent Jack Soo's timing was right there in his delivery - he's just so natural! But yeah- poor Harris there- and his look when he says that 😆.
Although BARNEY MILLER did receive some Primetimes and Golden Globes, it deserved more. At least one or two of the cast, such as Hal Linden and Abe Vigoda, should have won either or both of them…
Still saluting always, Command. It’s been a great, perfect Paradise full of all my heroes Cops childhood & life, with lots of great role models that I think of often & remember in my childhood, in permanent, perfect lesson after lesson in my memory of how to be a good Cop. I never forget it, thanks. ✌️😇❤️📀🔒🔐
Funny how we all have such different taste. Only one I liked less than Luger was the internal affairs guy. My fave was Fish and Wojo. Chano was great while he was there. Harris is good. Naturally Barney. Most of the new add ons didn't cut it for me.
Great cast, and until viewing now 'forgot' how much enjoyed this show. Have not produced this quality in years. Shame. Honestly, the combination of the charisma, connection is just, well, rare. Comfy, cozy, laughs, wholesome, just fantastic.
I get the Rats .funny stuff. I've had a few around. Roaches I deal with at work. Racoons as well. The three R's of Sewers and Storm drains. 😁 they all do tend to stand there ground.😁 or pipes .
Us too. They were featured in so many shows because of being the tallest in America & the world for awhile. Terrible reminder of what corrupt politicians can do to change the entire world all at once & launch a 20 year war for NOTHING but their own power grab to World Government- which Jack Soo mentions in the article he's reading about weather manipulation & the Rockafellers.
Thanks for uploading these Barney Miller episodes. Loved that show certainly better than the crap on TV nowadays. Please continue uploading older shows they were and are certainly the best.
I loved this show as a kid! Even then, I could tell it was something special. One of its creators, Theodore J. Flicker, wrote and directed the riotously crazy 1967 spy-thriller comedy THE PRESIDENT'S ANALYST with James Coburn and Godfrey Cambridge--it's well worth seeing. And I saw BARNEY MILLER's director, Noam Pitlik, pop up in an old rerun of BEWITCHED where he played Samantha's old flame. I remembered his unusual name.
@@CamilleGG451 You won't be disappointed! It's freakin' amazing. It was supposed to be the third OUR MAN FLINT movie, but they turned it into a wild counterculture comedy. Best film use of Godfrey Cambridge EVER!
Just what I need: opening a RU-vid clip to see commercials. And to make it even better, they're for products and services that are not available here. Thanks for this unique opportunity.
I think we should move Adam 12, Dragnet, Barney Miller, Kojack, into present day Chicago San Francisco, Los Angeles just to see their reaction. They'd probably burst into tears, grieve the loss of the country, then turned us and ask, "How did you guys let this happen?" And you know how we'd reply? "We have NO idea, Hey don't assume my gender and watch your pronouns or you will lose your job and face charges."
It had Great writing and interesting characters alongside an incredible Cast, But the vintage commercials are fun to see. This is obviously an "Allnite marathon" of the "Up all night" with the USA Network of Barney Miller episodes! Keep em coming!
Mrs Richards: "I paid for a room with a view !" Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) "That is Torquay, Madam ." Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!" Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window ? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..." Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!" Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky." Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction." Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment ?"
