@@guyo7351 Well, especially today; it's that much more funny. Today, this show would never hit your TV screen. What's ironic, the show basically "offended" every race, religion & nationality; yet everyone loved it!
Its such a time warp this show like so many depicted the problems that still exist in 2023 only worse but the werewolf and the hash brownies are my all-time favorites thankyou so much for the memory
It's hard to pinpoint why modern shows lack the laugh out loud humor. The easy answer is the writing but I think it is more complicated than that. I think it may have to do with today's societal climate, huge risks of offending people and maybe, just maybe, modern convinces such as computers, body cams and cell phones just are not funny.
I remember this show when I was a boy of 11yrs. I would have enjoyed it more if the commercials were left out before putting it on RU-vid. Still it was & still is an excellent sitcom. Thanx for putting it up anyway, I appreciated it a lot.
I simply fast forward through the commercials...🤔...however, I hope that by my doing that, it doesn't hurt the uploader/channel owner. Because in that case it would appear ungrateful of me- and I don't want to be anywhere near ungrateful, as this sitcom is my All Time Favorite, next to I Love Lucy. 😁 My sincerest thanks to the Channel Owner, Spencer Dennison and Friends 🙏🏽. You are most greatly appreciated; Barney Miller allows me to forget about politics and wars and mass shootings of innocent peeps. 😟 God Bless you, Channel Owner, and the Happiest of 2022 holidays to you and yours. We all love and appreciate you so very much. 💐🙏🏽💕🌲🎅🏽🤶🏽
These commercials were a part of the old show, they are not paid advertisements for today, therefore are not hurting the uploader. Kind of you to care.
I was in early teens when this aired, great show, thank you, the commercials suck but it's funny, I'd forgotten all those goofy ads, but I love the ads today with the 5 second button, I've hit that thing everytime on every ad, lol

Actor Ron Carey who played Levits died in 2007 from a stroke and I'm recovering from a mini stroke myself.. I'm extremely thankful to God that I'm still alive and breathing... I definitely Am grateful to God for sharing my life regardless if I'm in a health care facility long term care and I have come a long way since December when I suffered my mini stroke

"Mooshie-Mooshie-Mooshie"! "Barney: is your mother from Killarney"!?! "🎵...almost like being in 💕 Love"! NICK stole the show! ❤️ 😘 But so did the rest of the guys! Funniest episode ever! 🥳🎉😉😜 😂🍀
We need to get rid of the conermercial from the tv shows but the tv shows are very good to watch every day from Brendon have a blessed day also ✨️ ✝️ 🙏 😊
I met hal n his son's at the homowack in Monticello NY prob new yrs 1977. He did a theater type act together. I met him downstairs at the bowling alley entrance bn bowled w his kids. Great guy
They are from the tape. Use the red ball on the slider on your computer or double tap the upper right side of the screen on your phone to advance in 10-second segments.
It's truly sad, that now, when I see the WTC Twin Towers in the NYC skyline (as in the opening credits), I cannot help but become sad, in remembrance of 9/11. 😢💔🇺🇸
The edits take out the best bits. In Hash, the part where Nick asks Levitt to spell Cat is missing. Also when Wojo is booking the perp, he asks his name which is Fred and he hits like 8 keys on the typewriter. It's very irritating watching these classics like this.
Guys - That's the Barney Miller episodes that someone taped on WGN, with the commercial cuts. Feel free to add the full episodes without nagging commercials, or cuts that bit into TV time. Beats complaining about someone being thoughtful enough to share what they have. Guess I find complaining without adding anything substantial very irritating. 🙂
@USA VETERAN - RETIRED The complaints are for the broadcasters not the person who was kind enough to post these classic episodes..because the networks edit them for time thus getting rid of some of the funniest moments in the series' history.
Mrs Richards: "I paid for a room with a view !" Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) "That is Torquay, Madam ." Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!" Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window ? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..." Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!" Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky." Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction." Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment ?"
@7:25, we learn that Wojo is afraid of needles. Often when I have blood drawn, I ask the phlebotomist about patients who have the same fear. The say it's often the bigger, stronger-looking guys; often dudes in the military (as Wojo was). Indeed, when I was a junior in high school and volunteered to give blood, I learned that one of my best friends (who later joined the military) was terrified of needles. They had to have him breathe into a bag during his draw. All I'm saying is this: everyone is afraid of something and you can't judge accurately based on appearance or demeanor.
The third episode (brownies) got me interested in this series If the others were real friends, they too would have volunteered to do street duty, even if it was just for a few days. Miller may not have allowed it, but the gesture would still be genuine
Gosh it would be fun to be a writer for that comedy. We would be able to go to the sandbox with the racists, the sexists, the religious fanatics, christian nationalists, the haters of justice. the alcoholics, those who are difficult to put up with, the monsters, the haters of justice. What a rich and righteous comedy routine. I wonder if it could last more than 20 minutes on corporate media.
I've been binging on these episodes. It's like a a dose of Norman Rockwell in a bleak "1984" world. But those trumpets or horns, rapidly, repeating higher and higher notes HAVE GOT TO GO!!!
I LOVE THE WEREWOLF GUY, HE WAS ON THERE FROM EVERYTHING FROM STOPPING A PURSE SNATCHER BECAUSE HE SAW HE WAS GOING TO MUG THIS WOMAN, TO BEING HAUNTED BY A POLTERGEIST, TO BEING A WEREWOLF, TO BEING POSSESSED!!!GARY BAILEY KING OF DARKNESS HE WAS A RIOT!!GARY I FORGOT TO MENTION HE WAS PSYCHIC WITH THE PURSE SNATCHER!!
Those guys speaking Polish with... Russian? accents? Not Polish anyway. Barely understandable. And pronounced Krakow wrong. Mr Psczola's name means "Bee" by the way.
People were always meant to have a 2nd Amendment right to defend against tyrannical government. Everywhere Democrats have disarmed the public & handcuffed & defunded the police crime Is extreme. Especially at the open borders.
