Baron Samedi Zombie Nightmare 2 vhs tape full (1991) 

I've noticed how in the last 10 minutes of this version of the game, the Baron is not as mean and the makeup and lighting is slightly different whereas in the UK version, he is meaner, angrier and scarier and has black eyes in the last 60 seconds instead if an eye hanging out.

I didn't even bother playing the game much, the video was fun enough just to watch

The amount of passion and love I have for the nightmare games is too much, I need to find Zombie...I have the base game with the gatekeeper...

This is the original release that was only available in Australia and New Zealand. For other regions, there are many differences. The most noticeable is alternate takes of the Baron in the final 10 minutes of the video (perhaps a re-shoot?) although the script is pretty much identical. I wonder why it was altered? Was the original make-up deemed too scary for other countries?

Meet Baron Samedi, the Voodoo VJ who could dance up a storm with his entourage of lost souls. With a dark sense of humour and a darker sense of fun, The Baron always encouraged fresh blood into his fright club ‘The Cathedral Of Jive’. ‘Everybody’s welcome! it doesn’t matter if you are a somebody or a nobody. Just as long as you’re a body!’ was the slogan for his relentless membership drive. So it was wise to beware of invitations to join in his Hokey Pokey dance, because when the Baron called for you to ‘put your right foot in’ - he meant it literally! Then one night, while out soul searching, the Baron had his own membership abruptly cancelled. Imprisoned now in the rancid green glow of The Other Side, all he can do is dance to the music inside his head under the ever watchful eye of The Gatekeeper.

The original Australian 'Eye hanging out' version that was altered on other releases, a pity the sound was a little off sync at that part, but what can you do.

I'm wondering seriously now if Lord Raptor from Darkstalkers was inspired into creation by this Baron Samedi. They *are* both musicians and both zombies...the correlations are pretty uncanny.
