What I used in this video:
Razor: Filarmonica Tridur 15/16
Brush: Voigt and Cop 'Silvertip'
Soap: Barrister and Mann 'Seville' in Omnibus
Soap Ingredients:
Aqua, Potassium Stearate, Glycerin, Potassium Tallowate, Fragrance, Potassium Kokum Butterate, Sodium Stearate, Polyacrylamidomethylpropane Sulfonic Acid, Cocos nucifera Fruit Juice (Coconut Milk), Potassium Ricinoleate, Sodium Tallowate, Sodium Lactate, Butyrospermum parkii (Shea) Butter, Tetrasodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Xanthan Gum, Theobroma grandiflorum (Cupuacu) Butter, Sodium Kokum Butterate, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Potassium Cocoate, Saccharide Isomerate, Sodium Ricinoleate, Goat Milk Powder, Persea gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Sodium Cocoate, Althaea officinalis (Marshmallow Root) Extract, Ulmus rubra (Slippery Elm) Extract
Scent:
Top notes are Lemon and Bergamot; middle notes are Rosemary and Lavender; base notes are Oakmoss and Patchouli

I have used the Omnibus base for about half a dozen shaves. It is a superb base. Very easy to lather, has great density, and has a great post-shave feel.

Good review. I still have a tub of Seville in Excelsior so it will be some time before I consider Omnibus. Absolutely love Seville. I have found that all the bases I have used from B&M to be excellent.

It took me all bloody day to get to the end, Jack, as I had to keep on leaving it and coming back. Great shave, and yes, that really is a lovely razor.

Just the thought of using a straight razor whilst shaving absolutely terrifies me. Will stick to DE razors thank you very much. Just purchased Barrister and Mann "Le Grand Chypre". Looking forward to giving it a go.

One of my favourite scents soaps is barrister and Mann le grand chypre got old soap and ordered the new ominbus base 👍 🪒🧴🧼💈

Nice shave and review of B&M new base. Sounds like a winner! Just got a sample of Seville in excelsior - I'm guessing the scent is the same on the new base?

Exactly the same, maybe a little stronger.

I figured the base would just be slightly modified excelsior. Which is a good thing. Excelsior with good post shave (because usually it's quite drying for me) it's a top contender. The only flaw it ever had was post. So if that's fixed, I don't see why will needs to improve on any other metrics.

It's not a modified Excelsior. It's a new base, more dense, rich and with better properties.

Hi Jack I haven’t tried this Base of Seville I still have original and Seville in Reserve I really like it a lot 🪒💈👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 I enjoy all soaps by B&M Will Rocks 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 Haven’t seen you shaving with Charcoal Goods in a while..I got Leve1 ohh such a nice shaver and I managed to find level1 in SS which Brian made only 20 of them headsets.. I've pretty much switched to straight razor shaving mate. I still own DE's but all my shaves in the past month and a half have been with straights.

Hey Jack, I hope you don't mind if I trouble you for your opinions/experiences. I'm on a budget this year for shaving products so I can't buy everything out there. I do want to buy the very best soap bases I can though and ride those until late next year. Can you talk about your favorite soap bases by the following categories? 1) Slickness/residual slickness 2) Density 3) Water band 4) Post shave 5) Puck economy (how many shaves you can get out of the puck if you load enough for a full voluminous lather without overloading) 6) Best if money were no option

I finally picked up Seville as I'd been meaning to try it for years, I just assumed I'd love it. I don't. The scent is cloying and just a miss for me. It took me ages to figure out what it reminded me of and then i gave my son a bath. And it's Johnson's baby shampoo, only stronger.
