Barshop - chainsaw bar repair 

This is classic old school. Folks used to repair things to keep them going. They would even "hard face" bars with a special welding rod & acetylene torch to rebuild the hard nose bar tip & worn down bar rails. Now, everything is disposable.

Those things are great for the large bars. They frequently get damaged before they wear out.

What about the depth of the guide bar, wouldn't it become shallow for the chain?

How much ya want for that machine, ha! Not nearly as cool, but a metal cut off blade chucked up in a tablesaw works for removing any burrs and for grinding the edge square. Might be a good idea to first take the sawdust out of the bottom of the tablesaw to not burn your shop down.
