That pizza looked like one of those 1$ mini pizzas you buy at the grocery store just on a larger scale, I’d give it a 6 or lower

naw if you an owner, you need to be outside to ensure he gets pressured to give it a higher score which will then lead to better publicity! they smart af!

Owners don't really care whether the score is legit. For them, a higher score means more business. Coming outside and pressuring Dave is thus the most logical thing for them to do.

I live 3 minutes from here. The funny thing is, the whole family is inside here every time I go there. It’s a small place but the entire family sits at a table inside. It’s a really simple, nice, place.

Idk it seemed so his style. Thought at least an 8 or so. But once you start telling Dave your scores and how great it is he feels the need to take em down a peg so I think he went low here with 7.8. I don’t blame him as I’m sure it’s very annoying of them to demand a score and suggest an opinion while he’s still trying to work out his own. If they left him alone and were just authentic and let the pizza do the talking I think he would’ve went 8.2

@@sachinruparelia I’ve had the pizza multiple times along with DeLuccia’s, 7.8 is a low score. It’s atleast an 8.4, It must have been a bad pie or Dave just has gotten way more strict on what scores he gives.

He’s misrepresenting good floppy pizza if you ask me. I’m from NY, Italian, and pizza is my favorite food. Flop does NOT mean pizza is bad. In many cases, a little flop is a good thing. Too much flop where the pizza cannot maintain form is bad, but some of the best pizza places have a little flop. It’s his preference, and that’s fine, but people across the country incorrectly think flop is the main indicator of pizza quality and it simply isn’t.

@@_Refurbished_ that bar rescue guy said something about floppiness having to with the amount of air that's worked into the dough, I guess he doesn't like flop either, I do like the crispy pizzas to but flop is iconic.

@@_Refurbished_ I actually get too much crisp from my local wood-fired spot. After two pies my mouth hurts from biting through super crispy crust. There is balance to everything.

@@MrHypermoto ironically my favorite pizza place in the world is in his top 10 it’s Johnny’s in Mount Vernon. I’ve been to all the top joints and that’s still my favorite. There’s no flop in that pizza. It’s flipping awesome but typically, I agree with you a lot of these woodfired pizzas aren’t as good The balanced ones are usually better.
