Barstool Pizza Review - Tomatoes APizza (Farmington Hills, MI) 

That looked an easy 8 to be fair. Looked miles better than some of the mid 7’s you’ve been giving recently.

Dave low- balling the place when he says it's just like New Haven but "shoulda let it settle." Shoulda been in the 8's Prez. You know the damn rules. 🍕

Totally under scored this.. easily in the 8s. Granted I’ve never had “authentic” New Haven pizza, but Tomatoes is fantastic! I make an hour and a half round trip every so often just to get it lol

1 Square pie cut into triangles somehow, everyone knows they got rainman cutting pizzas in the back.

I live 20 mins from new haven and that’s a good looking pie. I can tell that’s an in the 8s I’d say by looks 8.1

As soon as I saw the pic on the opening still, I knew it was a New Haven style pie. Looked totally legit, can't understand how that didn't make it at least into the low eights. And he's complaining that it had too much flop, it had hardly any flop! He's all over the map with his reviews, LOL!

Definitely the best thin crust pizza in the state of Michigan. I was certain he'd rate it an 8. I really wonder if you blindfolded him and offered him his two best New Haven slices if he would rate Tomatoes APizza so lowly.

My folks were born in New Haven in the 40s. My dad's favorite place forever has been Sally's, but we usually went to Pepe's.

Tomatoes used to be a little firmer before Covid. I went recently and it was a little floppy like you said. I grew up in East Haven and Tomatoes is coming pretty close. I did ask the server a few weeks back where is the Foxon Park 🙂

I use to do the holiday lights for that shopping center and when your on that roof all you smell is pizza always wanted to go in but never did

I eat this pizza all the time and it's an easy 9, personally I give it a 9.5. Best pizza I have ever had and I have been all over and to Italy. This is just the best.

I hate to say it, but it’s time for an off-the-wall, over-the-top pizza review challenge. Take Dave to all these places blindfolded, and see if he can match his scores. It would be quite a stunt to fly him around the country blindfolded, but it would really be a riot and an adventure. Imagine, he has no idea what city he’s in, much less whose pizza he’s eating. Viewers/fans could nominate places Dave reviewed inaccurately, give big cash prizes to the fans/viewers who best predict the gaps between the original review scores and the new blind ones. Time to up the game to a new level. This would be it. And it would be an utterly unique RU-vid food reviewing event: traveling the country blind, no idea of the restaurant or even the city. Talk about food review adventures!

The pizza place down in New Haven next to Sally’s and Pepe’s is called Abate’s.

I stopped in yesterday and was very happy with the pie. Nice place. Good people. The pizza was consistent with his encounter. A little bit of noodle action center stage and good crisp on the fringe. ALL fresh, good blend of cheese, amazing sauce and the crust is respectful.

This was one of those reviews where I could taste the pizza

The garlic bread looked like it had some sauce with it... we need to know how that sauce tastes... I'm dying over here needing to know 🤪

Sally’s Apizza is the best in the country. Hands down.

From Connecticut, been to Tomatoes several times and it's certainly mid-8 material. Gotta ask for lighter cheese, IMO to match Sally's weight.
