In the playdown of the 2019 Men's Baseball European Championship Sweden's pitching, as much as Great Britain's hitting, obliterated Sweden's hopes, inning-over-inning.
Sweden's pitching staff combined for 8 walks and just 3 Ks while GBR struck out 7 and only walked 2. At the plate the Brits had a multitude of extra base hits including 6 doubles and a homerun.
The game, mercifully, ended early when Great Britain took a 10-run lead in the bottom of the 8th, securing their appearance in the 2021 European Championship.
