The original audio contained issued created by too many play-by-play guys sitting in close proximity.
Starting pitchers Veronika Peckova and Eva Voortman each went the distance doing as much for the team as a defensive player as hurler.
Each captured line drives for the out and Voortman was the putout and assist on a double play ball.
Peckova flagged 9 batters without giving up a walk but, accidentally, hit a batter who recovered and remained in the game. Voortman displayed a few control issues of her own. Though she struck out 8 she also walked two, threw one wild and hit a batter.
In fact, it was a combination of those control issues that led to the Czech Republic's win.
In the Czech's offensive half of 6th runners reached on a walk and HBP before two of The Netherland's fielding errors caused the run to cross the plate unearned.
Earned or not, at day's end the Czech Republic took home the W, their first against the Dutch in 13 years of international competitions.
