This is awesome, thank you for sharing. Got the same boat, love it! It's time for recarpeting, and I was thinking now would be the time for some long-desired mods like what you have done. I also want to increase the deck area, expand storage, and install one of those EZ-Troll pedal trays for the trolling motor. I'm curious about a few things, but 2 specific questions I want to ask if I may: 1) what did you do for batteries for the 24V troller and 2) the drain and pump for the live well - did you re-use the parts & pieces from the factory-installed unit in the stern?
You will have problems with the EZ-Troll tray due to the aluminum supports in the front deck, unless you plan to raise the deck or cut them (Not recommended ) 2 deep cycle Interstate batteries went in the back using the existing wires for the 12 volt with no problems along with a two bank charger. I did re-use all the factory parts and pieces for the live well install.
That looks really nice! I have also have a Tracker 175 Pro Crappie and I’m curious how did you get the front bait-well out? I need to repair mine but after taking out the 4 bolts that hold it to the front deck, it only moves about half an inch and it won’t even pull out from under the edge of the side rail, so that I can’t lift it off the lip that I can feel underneath the bait-well. Any insight you have on this subject would be much appreciated and thanks again for the great video. There’s not a lot of videos out there on these boats.
Once you remove the 4 screws that hold the bait well down to the deck you will need to pry it up enough to remove the inlet/drain hoses and it should all come off.
I've had Skeeters, Rangers and Champions bass boats and can honestly say that this is a better bass fishing boat from the stand point of getting into shallow waters where the big boys can not get into. The big boats are better for running and gunning but, when it comes to putting fish into the boat this is the bomb!
I have the same boat. Do have videos on how you changed the wood floor on it. Thinking about doing the same thing. Seats and console are a little shaky. I think it’s because the wood floor is starting to rot. Any advice or suggestions before I start would be greatly appreciated.
I’m thinking about using your livewell idea. I saw that u got rid of the one that sits right in front of the console. I like the idea of having one big livewell instead of two small ones spread apart.
@@oliverpratt2507 Sorry didn't do a video wish I had. The floor is held in with SS screws and all comes apart really easy. Make sure you keep all the old pieces to use as a template. Use treated marine grade 3/4" lumber and 3M spray glue from Lowe's for both sides (carpet/wood) and let it air dry for a couple minutes. Good luck with your project and best of luck fishing.
Ronnie Henson thank you for the good advices and info. Once I get to it I’ll share with you some of my videos and pictures. Too bad you didn’t get any pics of the project, It would’ve been pretty interesting to see. Tanks again my friend, God bless and be safe out there.
@@oliverpratt2507 Hey, went through my archives and found some pictures of the process with all the wood removed if you would like I could send them to you email, phone or IM on fb. Let me know. Don't know how to add them to this video.
@@ronniehenson4122 good video, new subscriber. i would be interested in pics of your floor replacement. I just picked up a 2008 pro crappie and it could use some floor work. I sent you a friend request on fb. Casey Borer
@@nugget8331 I used the the existing plumbing from the little old live well and drilled a hole in 30 gallon Egloo on the passenger side 12" up for the water inlet and put the drain in the center with brackets on both sides to keep everything in place. The inlet pump and water circulation is controlled at the console just like the one that came in the boat. Use all existing hard ware from the boat and transfer it all over to the Igloo. Works great! Hope this helps
