I agree to a certain extent but when you think versus matchups marvel and dc is most likely the first thing that comes to mind and the are some franchise no one heard out so most of them won't care and to me that's kinda sucks
Also as sick as I am of Marvel/DC fights I'd rather see another Marvel/DC fight over Palutena VS Rosalina or Beerus, Pit VS Sephiroth, or another Kid Icarus VS Kingdom Hearts fight. And this is coming from someone who wants Death Battle to do more Kid Icarus fights.

Gwen has a symbiote instead of spider-powers so it's actually girl venom vs girl batman. So unless they give barbara fire and sonic weapons she doesn't stand a chance.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but can we actually be influential to the Death Battle show? I would like to see some more variety pop up, and in different ways than you’d expect. It’s not the notion of Marvel VS DC that’s the issue, more so the over abundance and overusage of said series that drives us off the edge. But if we had the chance to see new or refreshing series come back, it’d be good. For example, Sabrewulf vs Jon Talbain. As much as that episode has its own problems, it’s appreciated to see Darkstalkers get represented more in a series that can give it more fans and whatnot. Carnage vs Lucy, even when using a Marvel character, introduced people to Elfen Leid, which I have yet to check out. Best boi vs Sol Badguy ended with a sad death, yes, but I know people who have been introduced to BlazBlue and Guilty Gear as a result and have liked the series in the end. (I don’t BlazBlue, but can we all agree Ragna is a fucking awesome protagonist) Beerus vs Galaxia utilized an old series that represented something fresh and original in the ways of characters and cast. It’d be nice for more representation for such series... okay, who the fuck else is gonna go from Elfen Lied after Lucy? But for Darkstalkers, Red vs Blue, Sailor Moon, and goddamn BlazBlue, I’d appreciate new Characters coming in and fighting vared foes that, while MAYBE not as thematic as certain Marvel or DC opponents, have their own flair of originality and introduction. I’m just done with the Marvel and DC and Marvel vs DC fights. At least, for the show. It’s too repetitive at this point, and just because “they have BOOBS” doesn’t give them a full damn excuse to get in. So yeah, agreeing with the Funny Purple Hair Ragna man on this one.

Honestly, If they used more obsure DC and Marvel characters I feel people won't have such a problem. Booster Gold was a really cool character to use and I wish they would use more DC/Marvel characters like that. Anyone in Doom Partol would be cool for example or Johnny Thunder/ Thunderbolt.
Hope next season has a lot more variety. Apparently every episode is season premiere/final worthy so I'm not sure what that means in terms of series variety
As someone who's been requesting and waiting for this specific match-up, the Batgirl vs Spider-Gwen announced disappointed me. About 5, maybe 7 at most, Marvel & DC match-ups make sense to have per 15-17 episode season. They bring in easy views and clicks, so it's beneficial Death Battle does this from time to time. The fact that we're getting at least 9 match-ups this season with Marvel & DC characters has me too exhausted from seeing both franchises so much that I can't even enjoy a match-up I really wanted. If it's not Galactus vs Unicron, then I don't care whatever Marvel or DC match-up they have next. I honestly might skip it out of boredom.
I'll be honest: I don't really care that they're using so many Marvel and DC characters this season. I'm a big fan of Marvel and I can say that Marvel vs DC matchups help me further understand the characters and their stories. So I really don't mind, but I kinda like the layout.

Not a Spider-Man expert, but Spider-Girl is May Parker, the alt. timeline version of Peter and Mary Jane's kid. She's not really as mainstream as Gwen and doesn't have the "Dad is a cop" connection.
There are like...three more Marvel VS DC matchups I think a general crowd would want and this isn't one of them. Ant-Man VS Atom (including Ant-Man II VS Atom II), Black Cat VS Catwoman, and...Ultron VS Cyborg Superman MAYBE.
@@clockshock6366 Surprisingly they're very close in terms of power and programming. Certainly a closer match (if a less apt one for the time) than Ultron VS Sigma. Though I concede to Patrick Adetola's comment, Ultron VS Brainiac is more likely to happen and more requested.
If they wanted to do another DC match up it should have been Poison Ivy VS Viridi from Kid Icarus. I just want more Kid Icarus characters in death battle.
I’m not even surprised that this Season has almost 50% of the episodes being Marvel Vs DC. These matchups will always last and stick around no matter what happens. Atleast the animations are good, but Marvel and DC matchups are getting very stale now

As a Dark Horse fan, it's hard to have any of the characters I like to find anyone similar. Plus they're too obscure for anyone to identify. The only one that appeared was The Mask.

I gotta say, I fucking loved this battle. The action was fast paced and had so much energy in it. And my god the Tex vs Sarge battle. I have to give this a 10/10 and this is one of my favorite in the season, and I never grew up with Red vs Blue

I actually like both Gwen and Barbara, but we really don't need DC and Marvel again for the mother of god, like anyone who knows both characters know who is going to win without any question, it is Gwen. Like seriously, some of these matchups are so questionable, while the soundtracks are nice, I personally have no interest in most of the matchups at least the predictable ones, I did like Red Hood vs Winter Soldier but that because I just love Jason in general. I honestly would love to see Kim Possible, but I'm still just waiting for another Jojo rep, and still am shocked they haven't done Giorno, especially when part 5 peaked, but being completely honest if they were to choose an upcoming anime rep, it is going to be fucking Tanjiro. One it will get the most views, and sadly it pains me to admit this, but Tanjiro is just more popular then Giorno although debatable at least from what I have seen.
I mean Tanjiro's most popular MU IS against a Jojo (Jonathan to be specific) so you might get a Jojo MU regardless. Plus Joker VS Girono is inevitable with how insanely popular and debatable it is (since Joker is one of the few characters that isn't a straight up reality warper that can be argued to resist GER's effects), so I wouldn't worry about Girono in particular getting into DB.
I very much agree with you, DC and Marvel matchups are really overrated and other series deserve more love. Also, I completely agree with your Destoroyah VS Irys matchup.
King Ghidorah Vs. Irys makes more sense as they are the main baddies for their respective monsters. Destoroyah has other potential combatants from others franchises. In a matter of fact, I would love to see Gypsy Danger Vs. The Megazord.

Also I know this is shameful but I still want the Godzilla franchise to be at a 100% win rate, because I’m a die hard Godzilla fan. Still though I respect your matchup choice too.
The worse part is how boring the matchups are like let’s be honest you didn’t ask for Cable vs Booster Gold (That was actually one of the best episodes of the season though) if you’re gonna have so many Marvel vs DC matchups have them be good ones aka Hulk vs Superman, Thor vs Superman(or Shazam) etc.

I myself see Marvel vs DC in some aspects can be a very healthy competition between two amazing franchises. Along as it doesn’t get toxic I couldn’t care about someone’s opinion about which one is better. I mean to be honest I think they should do another crossover in the still of battleworld or contest of champions
If they really had to do a Marvel/DC fight, and a Spider-Man/Batman one at that, I'd have preferred *Black Cat vs Catwoman* instead of this where we know who'll win. I mean you've had the main characters fight (Spider-Man vs Batman), you've had one of their enemies fight (Venom vs Bane), then why not have their love interests fight.
Technically Spawn was with Image Comics, but that doesn't quite edge out against the domination of Marvel and DC comics. More bats and spiders... I'm expecting a comment on Bruce x Barbara but other than that I'm watching it with disinterest. Or like RvB where I'm more interested in the following match-up than the current one (season finale time? Is it finally Galactus vs Unicron or Duke Nukem vs Serious Sam? Who the hell knows.) Back to living in the darkness I guess.
Yeah they should give a representation of the other fanbase like when they bring up Ben 10, the fanbase of the Ben10 franchise gets hype up even ben didn't win its still gets talked about and really get attention.

Ben makes no sense and already had his best MU, PM has Megaman.EXE, and Xeno Goku doesn't have any connections besides (op versions of a well known character) Wally was Archie Sonic's best MU by far.
Let's be honest here. Batgirl (A weaker version of Batman) vs. Spider-Gwen (As strong as the OG Spider-Man). And we seen Batman vs. Spider-Man, in which Spider-Man won. So we take an even weaker version of Batman vs. About the same strength of Spider-Man.
The only Marvell/DC fights in this season that you could argue needed to be here were Miles vs Static, Wally West vs Archie Sonic and Red Hood vs Winter Soldier all the other ones were pretty much pointless.

Yeah, I'm also getting tired of the overabundance of Marvel and DC characters in these matchups. Some other franchises like mlp only got three while Transformers as of now only have two.
RvB just became my favorite episode of the season and my 11 favorite of all time, I found it to be pretty funny and although I did wanted more banter, the one that we had I really like. Sarge is still the best As for the voices, for me it got better as the fight progress and I got a custom to Caboose’s new voice And the analysis, I found it pretty funny, although the conclusion was kind of lacking As for Bat-Girl vs Spider-Gwen, I was like: “Oh son of a bitch”
I love the wizarding world (Harry Potter and Fantastic beasts) and yeah Harry Potter himself has appeared in DB before but I wanna see more characters from that franchise in DB episodes aswell

I would think Destroyah vs Legion would make more sense since both of them are monsters who can split into/command smaller versions of themselves and they both effect oxygen.

Godzilla & Transformers is your favorite franchises'. Despite, you being a superman fanboy. I loved 1fishmob Godzilla vs SCP-682 and agreed. I do consider Space Godzilla vs Ultraman Belial( Will it include Atrocious.) Kind of Wanted Ginga vs a Type of Godzilla( from the games') ( Edit: The Red vs Blue is only good to drink to. Also, I agree with your opinion.)
I really hope season 8 is better. And if there's going to be more Marvel and DC characters, let the matches be interesting like Black Bolt vs Zebra. (Man, I really want Toriko to have more recognition.)
