because wayne is the only one ras actually respects and sees as a worthy heir and worthy of his daughter talia. only thing i dont like was them tweaking a small fact with ras. he already knew way before who batman is and out of respect for him only refers to him as detective.
Every time I see 2:51, its just gets more and more epic. The music, the line "This is just the beginning." and the view of all of the destruction.. Awesome scene.
How did Hugo Strange fail? If Strange killed even a tenth of Gotham's criminals in that attack, he would easily have accomplished a greater victory than Ras had ever managed.
the fact that strange was shanked intense the fact that ras shanked him even more intense the fact that Gussy-g is now offline at 2:58 took it over the top...
I personally like him better emotionless. Just absolutely obsessed with proving that he was better than Batman/Bruce Wayne. The part in Arkham City where Bruce found his parents place of death in Crime Alley, where Hugo left the tape recording for Bruce to listen to, was unreal. I really enjoyed the way he was portrayed in this game.
@Alecal892 I agree, it ruined the feel of the moment felt like there were gaps in the storyline that they could of filled with hugo strange and tie up the end with 'the end justifies the means to an end' that he would accomplish anything to get rid of criminals even if it meant himself. Not to achieve immortality and replace Ra.
"Soon I will control forces beyond your comprehension!" Those words from Strange shows, that he most likely was going to take control of the Arkham Knights forces. Then, Ras found the Arkham Knight, who is most likely Batman's successor.
+Revan Spaceduck Shame Ra's wasn't in charge in the end. Would've been a cool follow-up to this arc. Then again, I'd miss my beloved Scarecrow too much.
@ghasl1 Yeah, the question of "what is a criminal" and how society deals with them was enough to carry the whole game, especially with a character like batman, maybe he starts to questions if his crusade against crime is useful, or if he is going against the wrong type of criminal, they didnt need to add the whole immortality thing.
i thought this too , but it isn't similar voice but its Corey Burton who plays count dooku in star-wars the clone wars , which Christopher lee plays in the star-wars ep 2 film, think of him as voice double for Christopher lee
@GoongalaGoongala Technically, The Joker could possible never died at all. He did try licking the cure off the floor. I know mARK HAMil said he was going to stop being the joker after this, but he said he would return to do 'The Killing Joke' (for the comic that is - which predates the storyline of the games). not to mention the huge success of AC, I'm sure if motivated, he'd want to return :) Regardless the 3rd Batman game will still be great even without the Joker
@TheBlackIdentety I meant that in the first game we had like with Scarecrow two fight: One easier in the beginning and one harder later. And in Arkham City there was nothing like that. The main story was too short. And I guess there is no question about the Mass Effect 3 :D
My favorite thing about the joker is not that he's comical, he's unpredictable, or even that he's given batman the biggest chalenge. My favorite thing about joker is that he doesn't give a damn about batmans secret identity. Infact, he prefers not to know.
Well I've seen a few of Batman stuff where Hugo Strange is always a pawn of Ra's al Ghul so I was like..."meh... figures". The Clayface one was pretty surprising though...but no where as mind blowing as some people think. I think maybe its because of my ignorance of Batman villains... thinking that it could have only been Clayface (because he is the only Batman villain I know who can shapeshift..) lol
Ok...am I the only one who was p* off at Ra's being the true mastermind? Hugo Strange was so convincing as the main villain and I wanted to see a nice take down by the Batman. It felt really cheap
@mithers123 :: you mean when Ras' stabbed himself in the freefall? He isnt dead, he is nearly immortal. He just need to dip into a Lazarus Pit and bam, he is feeling 20 years old again. Dude has been around longer than Conner Macleod.
Hugo was there the whole time. How often do you see Bowser in a Mario game? Or Ganon in a Zelda game? GLaDOS in Portal? Or something you might understand, Shepherd in Modern Warfare? Just a little, but they were there the entire time.
Ra's body disappears after this so it can be assumed he didn't die. Talia's did the same and Clayface also fell into the pit. Strange, however is gone for good.
I have no idea why they couldn't have just let Hugo Strange serve as the lead villain without having Ra's as the "mastermind". Hugo deserved a spot as the main "boss" in a game. And he was portrayed magnificently in this game. The voice actor was absolutely perfect.
The part where Hugo Strange says "Gotham will forever thank Hugo Strange" after hearing how he said his last name, I was like WTF, after I saw Ra's al Ghul I was like "oh ok, didn't see that comming"
it wasn't christopher lee, just meant to sound like that kind of character, the real voice actor is corey burton, but he also does voices for count dooku in star wars the clone wars
i was referring to the "spoiler alert" as he mentioned the Joker and Clayface. I already beat the game but i don't want him to spoil the ending with joker and clayface for other players
***** You never know. In comic books and films and games based on comic books villains apparently get killed in explosions all the time and still managed to come back. In the Superman and Batman DCAU crossover episode World's Finest Lex Luthor's Lexwing blows up with Joker in it and Joker still survived. I liked the twist but I agree that after all that build up Strange should have been his own villain.
Hugo Strange: You have not won. You cannot win. I, Hugo Strange, am your successor! I have saved Gotham... Batman: ...... Hugo Strange: ...*troll face* Batman: ......*HEADBUTT--Sparta kick* Hugo Strange: *falls across desk*
Lets start by saying that the following is NOT sarcasm. I am simply amazed and slightly impressed at just how many spoilers you were able to put into one paragraph. That being said, I wasnt going to get the game anyway. I just watch these for the good bits.
