Someone from 2018 here! And yes! This amazing piece of artwork still holds up today! Just started playing through my 4th save slot yesterday! Haven’t played it since I beat it for the 3rd time last year. I’ll bet my life savings that I’m gonna enjoy it again 😂 great fucking game
I love just driving around in the batmobile, but I'm disappointed all of the "boss fights" we get are just tank battles. It's like Rocksteady said,"You guys want the batmobile? HERE'S THE FUCKING BATMOBILE!"
@@ro6uefour50 They could've innovated a bit more though. I really, really like Arkham knight, but the tank mode was probably the wrong direction for Rocksteady to go...
@@holymotherofgodpleasenobut9626 definitely combat is beginner friendly, a lot of advanced gadget to takedown enemies. It's batmobile combat where things can get little difficult, but you'll manage fine go BUY IT NOW!!!
they should develope a game with civilians in it. and there are random events such as people being mugged or robbed from. you can scare civilians have short conversations with them like in the dark knight trilogy. and there are segments of the game where you have to play as bruce wayne.
Patrick Star I know I'm responding to an old compliment, but I feel like having in game civilians just doesn't work in a Batman game. Because as a player you can drop down in front of a civilian and interact with them. Batman doesn't jus talk to random citizens how Spider-Man does ya know
+Tom Ruch Arkham Origins was really good many gamers don't think that because it had glitches but I was lucky I hadn't any glitches so for me, it was a great. And to be honest, I think the story of Arkham Origins was better than that from Arkham Knight. It was much more intense and the story really got me dragged in to the game. And Arkham Knight didn't do that as good as Origins with me
+Charlie boy if you're a Batman fan Arkham Knight is a fantastic game. For me it's best the game of 2015. So if you're a Batman fan I would really buy Arkham Knight I I were you
I would say that the worst thing about the game are the bosses, or a complete lack of them. Unlike Origins or City, all you ever get are pretty much tank battles...so yeah, awesome game, lame bosses.
There really is an overwhelming amount of things to do in this game. I've played every previous game and this is pretty much all of them rolled into one perfect little ball. However, I would be lying if I said I didn't feel the franchise fatigue a lot of sequels suffer from.
Just started playing this and love it. Maybe two hours in so far. Incredibly, the graphics are better than many games from this year! Crazy. And the action scenes, wow. This game has so much depth as well with all the combos.
I'm here because Jake told me not to 🙃. Not a bad video at all. Definitely see the improvement over the years. "Let's call the Bat Mobile because fuck yea" 😂😂
The Start of something Great.. You guys are my number one stop when it come to getting a view on new games.. Its Awesome I found the First one.. Keep up the good work!!!
I think the only thing that disappointed me really were the boss fights. They were pretty lackluster, especially after some of the cool boss fights from Arkham City and Origins. Besides that, I loved this game.
Im a little undecided at the moment, I've played all the other arkham games up until now and when you compare Arkham Asylum to this game they somehow feel incredibly different but I can't really tell if I mean that in a good or bad way... However I am loving the freeflow combat, it feels super improved :) I wont give a verdict as I am not that far into the game just yet but so far I am not digging Scarecrow's voice and they made Poison Ivy fugly but thats down to personal taste haha.
SteelAngelVikki they definitely stray really far from the initial Metroidvania puzzle style game design. And yeah- Poison Ivy, WHAT HAPPENED?! Overall still a cool as hell game.
I'm a bit undecided myself. The story is intriguing (although I think I can guess who Arkham Knight [and another, don't want to give anything away] is), and the gameplay feels pretty fun so far but I'm still apprehensive. And honestly not liking the Batmobile mechanic.
SteelAngelVikki Trust me, when you get to certain points in the story it just gets better and better and feels like a very personal and emotional batman story. The game as a whole is amazing :)
Is this really actually the first before you buy video ? That’s so cool ! I have been looking at before you buy's for all this time and it’s just today that I accidentally step upon the first ever video !
Nope your not the only crazy bat fan boy!! Although I love spidey as I grew up batman was the best DC HERO EVER!! So yeah your not the only batman fan boy
+Fake man well as of 2016 the fps cap is 90 and the game is pretty well optimized .But still it took the devs half a year to get the game running as it should which is a disgrace .
I have a 950m. No games give me stuttering or lag on the proper settings except this one. (I have to alt tab) I mean this ain't a fantastic GPU or anything but it's decent for how it performs.
Damn this channel came a longway this is an iconic series because iv never bought a game without seeing if theres an before you buy episode about the game
I just saw how many subscribers you have, and I'm shell shocked. I didn't notice, I've been around for such a long time that I never really cared. Congratulations for you growth though!
It's 2023 and i just bought this game for less than 2€, it's insane how good this game looks knowing it was released in 2015. Definitly recommend trying it out.
Batman Arkham Knight is a masterpiece, the graphics still look stunning, just love exploring Gotham City, captures the feeling of being Batman perfectly, lot of fun playing the game on PS5 🙌🦇🦇🦇
I never comment on anything, I forget that are people that when they read something, they need to offend or respond, I normally don't post anything... And when I see something I don't like, I just ignore and go on with my life... I don't have this itch! Just no, I know you don't care, you made it clear, I thought I was clear too, I care less! See ya man! I dare you to find another comment of mine to not care about too!
Haha I have been watching you for years. I just got this game instead of new the Knights game after watching your content on the new game. Little did I know this was the first before you buy! Cool to see your growth as a channel.
I never played Arkham Knight before, and now i found it for 19.99€ and thought Ok lets give it a try... Now i don't know for how long i played, but i can't stop.
Damn I know what is going to happen in the story (I saw it back in 2015 the full game in RU-vid) but I founded it 12€ gams og the year edition should I buy?
Wow, I've seen so many Before You Buy's, never played this, saw it on sale today for 5 bucks. Can't believe it's 2024 and this was the first episode so many years ago!
*JAKE!! I DON'T HAVE A TWITTTER!!* but seriously, major question, does it feel like halloween? my favorite thing about arkham origins is that it felt like christmas
it kinda does theres one time when i was just gliding around gotham and one of the crimnals said on the intercom "scarecrow did this on halloween guess he does have a sense of humor"or something like that i chuckled when i heard that line
Just bought this for 8 bucks on steam and I always watch your videos and can’t believe it brought me to your first video ! Thanks for the great reviews haha starting this series was an amazing idea
Played this on PC and im like Half Way Through, like 56% in. Here are my thoughts so far Story - Its Amazing, its incredible you really get hooked into it, so much at stake so much each characters goes through and so much world building as well, exposition is done really really well, the pacing is just chefs kiss, even the side Missions they just go really well even if your busy doing the main Missions, they never feel like your doing a fetch quest or something, it still feels like its part of the story or another thing going on in the background, could be brewing, plotting or just an unsolved case or rescue mission. Gameplay - overall mobility, combat and every gadgets to Batmans Vehicles, they are so satisfying to use, they all work really well and right in there own ways, as the game progress you start to get more Tools and more ways to take down baddies or solve clues/puzzles. One thing to note is the controls can get confusing, so be sure to do some key bindings, mine tho the only thing i changed is the Spacebar to Shift, and E to F, can’t mention what they do because they serve so many purpose for just one button. Characters - the characters are like phenomenal, they’re the best and the tag teaming in this game oh its oh so satisfying, it really makes you feel badass and very very rewarding to play if your playing really really well, you move like butter in combat or stealth, you chain attacks almost seamlessly, you parry, block and evade attacks and they can all follow up into another move your about to do, it never feels like its fighting against you or never feels clunky, if you want to do whatever you want to do it does it. The World/City - its super super detailed, I can’t even believe this game looks better compare to other new open world games. Almost everything is breakable in the streets, and if you just stop and look around you can see how much love and passion the developers poured into this game, and i just can’t stop thinking about it that they really went out of there way to go this mile this game is not that expensive and i got to buy it for less than 2 dollars too because of sale of course, but if i can afford to just keep supporting or just show love to this developers i would happily give it to them And im not a Big crazy Batman fan, so I don’t want anyone to take this as a Bias Review, i just wanted a Good open world game with good mobility, combat, Stealth and good story, and Batman: Arkham Knight has it all and more. I also forgot to mention that like most reviews point out, “this game Makes you Feel like Batman” and I couldn’t agree more.
My wife got this for me Christmas and I love it. The car can be a bit of a handful now and then but I am getting better with it. Love to see this game with the justice league in it, I would never come off the game. Loving your videos, thanks.
Replaying these games during isolation and had no idea this was the first ever Before You Buy, wow, come a long way Gameranx congrats! Stay safe everyone and happy gaming!
Here in 2022! Just finished the game. I will try to replay it, but harder. This game will be always one of my favourites. I don’t like video games that much, but RDR2, Batman arkham knight and sea of thieves will always be the best for me xD
Jake always sounds like a friend telling me about the game rather than a reporter which is why these are my Go-to reviews. Love this series and can't believe I found the first one.
Out of all the DLCs you should get the one that lets you drive the 1960s Batmobile and gives you two new race tracks and one skin each for Robin and Catwomen
I remember people complaining when you couldnt drive it in the older games SMH..... tbh it did get to a point where the tank battles started feeling tedious but that quickly subsided after I upgraded the Batmobile HAHA. Quality game!
