I don't know if it counts, but when you rescue Harleen Quinzel and the other guards or doctors all of them are "terrified" on their heart monitor, but she is in "calm" state
@AOW BatThor actually could be correct how else did joker leave his cell and caused a riot? It's obvious he had help from Harley she most likely gave him security codes to allow him and everyone else to break out
The weirdest thing for me is that I played Arkham City a hell of a lot. But when I played Arkahm Origins, I felt lost in Old Gotham. I felt like I had no idea where anything was.
Tobie Olson I felt the same way at first. I got used to it and started to see the similarities but without all the prison elements from AC it is kind of weird.
I don't get why people don't like it. I mean I didn't have any game breaking bugs, I guess they exist though. The story and voice acting was excellent, and obviously the fighting was good. What else is there to ask? I mean, you get to be Batman!
hippiebrother3 I always say that. Didn't have any bugs either. I guess what people hate is how similar it is to Arkham City but if it ain't broke don't fix it :)
Origins was good but my gripes were the big Deathstroke hype not being true and Black Mask was a wasted opportunity and The Joker should not have been the main antagonist once again.
My Arkham Timeline Year One - Bruce Wayne returns to Gotham City - Bruce starts operating as a vigilante - Prototype Batsuit, Batmobile and Batcave introduced - Calender killings begin - Batwing introduced Year Two - Calender Man brought to justice - Batman encounters the Red Hood - The events of Arkham Origins - The events of Cold, Cold Heart Year Three - Batwing (Version Two) introduced - The events of Arkham Origins: Blackgate - Basic Batsuit, Batmobile (Version Two) introduced - Arkham Asylum reopens - Harvey Dent becomes Two-Face - Harleen Quinzel becomes Harley Quinn - Richard Grayson becomes Robin - Barbara Gordon becomes Batgirl Year Four Year Five - The events of Assault on Arkham - Richard Grayson becomes Nightwing - Traditional Batsuit introduced Year Six - Jason Todd becomes Robin - Barbara Gordon is paralyzed by the Joker - Jason Todd is killed by the Joker - Tim Drake becomes Robin Year Seven - Barbara Gordon becomes Oracle - The events of Arkham Asylum Year Eight - Batwing (Version Three) introduced - Arkham City opens Year Nine - The events of Arkham City - The events of Harley Quinn's Revenge Year Ten - The events of Arkham Knight
Jacob Valerio Maybe, but Arkham Knight makes the entire timeline pretty clear to me. 1)In a tape record Batman mentions that Joker poisoned himself with Titan 2 years ago so->2 years between Asylum and Knight 2)Also, in the game a thug talks about protocol 10 from Arkham City at which another thug says that that happened like 9 months ago, which makes sense since AC happened in the middle of Winter (January) and Knight happened on Halloween. Therefor you have aprox. 15 months between Asylum and City.
You have to love Alfred's sass. I love it when someone stands up to Bruce in a playful way. All his allies obviously aren't terrified of him like villians are, but there is something i love about Alfred telling the batman, Jesus himself, that he is going to put guano in his food.
Always loved the moment when in the injustice comic books, Alfred took one of those superhuman pills and beat Superman to a bloody pulp for destroying his (Bruce's) family.
Ragnaros the Firelord Well not sure if the Injustice comic is cannon or not, but its pretty badass (then again its a alternate universe in the multiverse, so I guess its all canon ether way)
"As I recall - there was a time you weren't very fond of bats yourself." "True. But I grew out of it." Technically, you then grew into it. *Joker laugh*
9:34 Interesting thing to note is that Crane’s signature (both in print and in cursive) is different each time, and that he skips a line when one of the visitors writes their signature too big. He also starts and ends at different times, so sometimes his signature is further to the left or right. Honestly, the fact that WB Montreal thought of including that is insanely impressive.
When this game came out, I saw a review from IGN and they said in the review that they couldn't find easter eggs or said that there was no easter eggs. Bet now they feel stupid that someone spent their time to find every single Easter egg in this game (which still holds a place in my heart except multiplayer)
14:17 Batman: "What's wrong Alfred?" Alfred: "What's wrong Master Wayne is that I didn't think your Batsuit could possibly look anymore ridiculous after the last one, and yet here you are again making me question your sanity and fashion sense" Batman: "I don't have time for this Alfred, I need to use the Batmobile" Alfred: "Is-is that a Prius with fangs on the hood?" Batman: "I PAINTED IT BLACK IT STILL WORKS!"
People often complain about the Easter Eggs in Origins and the 'way they're shown' but they're all as good as the Asylum and City ones. All of the villain ones, the Court of Owls, Doctor Young's door and all of that- it's brilliant!
I think I've found a new easter egg! In My Alibi there's a backroom with a wall destroyed(with a hole on it). Enter the room with the table full of money and go to the wall opposite to the one destroyed and look trough the hole(in the destroyed wall). The crashed mirrors and the lights along with the hole in the wall form an image that ressembles a lot the Court of Owls' insignia.
I have to point out that the song parody "Jingle Bells, Batman Smells" isn't a reference to Mark Hamill's rendition of the Joker. I'm 43 and I was singing that song when I was 9 years old (that's back in 1979 for those of you doing the math). Star Wars was only a couple years old and Empire Strikes Back hadn't even been released yet. "Jingle Bells, Batman Smells" is just a Batman meme, it has nothing to do with Mark Hamill other than the fact he has used it too.
I prefer his look and difficulty but not his story. Only because they messed up the continuity and because Titan didn't exist until Joker anonymously funded the Titan project in Arkham Asylum. Also the Titan doesn't make people forget just look at Bane and Joker from Arkham City they both remember everything fine. But I agree I think Venom Bane from AO is better than Titan Bane from AA and AC.
Jesse Soko But they say in the game that it is Titan not some random experimental drug. The game is good and the story would be better if the other Arkham games didn't exist but they do exist. Look if they took this game in a different direction than the previous Arkham games like setting it in a different universe or just having them make a Suicide Squad game. But there are just too many errors in the continuity that it just doesn't fit the storyline of Arkham Asylum and Arkham City. It's like trying to put a square peace into a circle slot it just doesn't fit.
The King Bat Alfred sees might be a reference to the bat that inspired Bruce to put on the cape and cowl, which is why he appears when Bruce looks at the cowl later in the game. In the comics it was big enough to break the window and go through it and was drawn as the size of Thomas Wayne's bust when he sat on it, which is about 7 times larger than the average bat and this was done by multiple artists through the years so it wasnt just artistic license. It could also be a an easter egg (which is why he is described so ambigously) to an opened yet unfinished subplot from Batman Forever. When Bruce remembers falling in the cave with his fathers Red Book he sees a giant bat coming towards him. The novelization monologue says "the cave was monstrous, as was the creature coming towards me. It must have been there since the cretacious period". The bat is shown in a deleted scene from the movie that didnt make the theatrical final cut and left the subplot, as well as the meaning of the movie title unfinished. It can briefly be seen in the Batman Forever trailer as well. The bat shown in the deleted scene is bigger than Bruce Wayne, which made some fans speculate it was Man-Bat, but Schumacher said he wanted the bat to be a tribute to The Dark Knight Returns, but WB cut it for being too gruesome for kids. Just my opinion.
Here's one you missed. If you play as Deathstroke, Penguin will say "Welcome, Mr. Wilson, to Oswald Cobblepot's school of hardknocks." Anyone who's seen Batman Returns should get that reference.
Here's another interesting easter egg, well not really. The voice actress for Amanda Waller is the same voice actress who did her in the Justice League Unlimited series.
If Thomas Elliot was drunk dialing Bruce Wayne, incoherently rambling about twins and surgery, it's entirely possible he was referring to his own master plan to surgically alter himself to look like Bruce's twin...
Man Joker and Bats got a really interesting relationship. Still Can't Batman look at a utilitarian point of view and kill him or give him the Ras Al Ghul treatment and not save him. Think of all the lives that would be saved instead of the constant cat and mouse. Or does the Batman need a Joker
Correct. Without batman there would be no joker (vise versa) batman can easily kill joker but chooses not to. And joker knows nun of his goons can stop him plus he knows batman wouldn't kill him.
***** I agree with you 100%. I was actually hoping in Origins they were going to stick with their guns and run with Black Mask and his Assassins as the lead Villains and put Joker into a side note thought but unfortunately they did not and it somewhat made the game less interesting for me. Why they use the Joker so frequently is because he is the most recognizable Batman Villain as he is the most known to the general public, thats why some people think he is so important to Batman when the truth is there are just as many great Villains in the Batman franchise that are capable of being the Master Manipulator and great rival that the Joker is.
***** you re right man. I agree with you 100%. Batman doesn t need joker. He just wants justice and we all know that batman wouldn t kill anyone and won t let anyone die even if it s the joker (this proves arkham city). The only reason that batman "wasn t himself" after the joker died is that he couldn t save him. And why he would save him? Because batman can t let people die even if they are the worse villains.
throwing this out there could the green eyes for animals symbolize that John Crane aka Scarecrow was doing some tests on them. As the fear toxin thingy does change the color of the things eye that it was used on.
32:00 This is the WORST thing about Batman:Origins, they didn't make subtitles for these random conversations between the thugs... I used to listen to every single one in Arkham City, they tell interesting things about the story, but now thanks to this, I missed like 90% of them in Origins, because I either failed to understand it fully or simply missed it. Thx
Batman Arkham Origins was freaking awesome! How in the hell is not popular? It's one of the best games in whole series. If someone told me they didn't like the game, I would have said name 5 things that you didn't like about it. It's impossible because the gameplay and controls are exactly like Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, and Arkham Knight.
9:22 I like how you look down to first inspect the roaches to make sure everything is up to quality. If the roaches look unhealthy then everyone in black gate is unhealthy. Just doing a routine bat inspection.
Ok...I gotta ask. Whats with video games and big head modes? is their like some kind of funny story behind it? Just curious of their origins thats all.
This clearly took a great deal of time and effort, and the hardwork you've put in is totally worth it! Fantastic job, some really wonderful finds! Really do nail down this series, one of my absolute favourites too! Just when you think you've done it all, turns out, didn't scratch the surface, amazing series :)
Forgot to mention that the conjoined twins were the Abramovici twins. Joker hired Hush to separate them. He ended up keeping only one. The other one was taken by Penguin.
+SenseiKai In deed, i just realized that but wasn't sure that it was right. They also forgot to mention that you can find calendar man's cell in blackgate prision at the begining of the game right after seeing black mask releasing day out of the gas chamber
Baires 456 Yeah, i think the same but "official" info states its 5 years, for me it needs to be atleast 10 years, tough Gordon is still to young, but since we have him being brown haired in Knight, well, inconsistency is right there
I seriously love how Joker's singing of "Cold, Cold Heart" is a reference also to the new DLC for Arkham Origins that was recently revealed by the same name: "Cold, Cold Heart," starring Mr. Freeze as the main antagonist.
@@stanleyrabkin3772 I can get behind this sentiment. I've always felt that the "prison city/island" conceit took a lot from Escape from New York. a few plot points as well, like Batman/Snake Plissken getting poisoned.
I always wonder about the Batcave, Batmobile, Batjet, etc.. Like how does he have this if Batman's identity is a secret ? How he built all of them without raising suspicion ?
You've just gotta give the Warner Bros Montreal team credit for the amount of work they put into this game considering they didn't make Arkham Asylum or City :)
I believe the books with rejected on it aren't people black mask rejected but the other way around. Since the books seem to be complete info packets it would make more sense to assume that these are assassins that turned down the offer to go after the bat thus rejecting it and returning the materials back to the thugs who were tasked with delivery.
what do you guys think is the big, special easter egg? in asylum, it was the room for arkham city, in city it was scarecrow's barge. I think this one is the forshadowing of the suicide squad
Idk if you consider this one an easter egg, but here it goes: In the middle of gotham's city bridge (where you find the 4 big statues), of you go to the west side of it there will be some weapon crates, and near them on the floor there is a box with a rifle and 3 empty bullet caskets. When I first noticed that I thought: maybe I would fight deadshot on that place. Well actually I believe that is a wink to the arkham origins trailer, the one that has batman fighting deathstroke to a no contest after deadshot shoots from the bridge to stop him from killing batman and cashing the 50 million dollars. Seems deadshot is very careless leaving his used weapons behind.
I'm surprised at how many easter eggs I found this time. I found like 80% of them. And I wish they put the rest of the Joker's version of jingle bells "Jingle bells, Batman smells, Robin laid an egg. The Batmobile lost a wheel and the Joker got away! Crashing through the roof, in a one horse open tree, busting out I go, laughing all the wheeeeee!!" XD
9:36 What I find even more curious is that Crane's last sign-in was dated on the 22nd of December. The game itself takes place during Christmas Eve (and later Christmas Day). Assuming that he didn't just simply forget to sign out, this would mean that he's been visiting the prison for two straight days.... This raises some questions. 12:33 Yeesh...and I though "The Killing Joke" was the darkest, most horrifying story I've ever seen. DC has some pretty sick-minded writers. 17:12 You sure? That looks like a normal-sized bat to me, more or less. There's no way that could just snatch an entire turkey in one swoop. Plus, giving a peace-offering doesn't seem like the sort of thing a wild animal would do...not to me, at least - but hey, I'm no expert on the subject of animal behavior. I'm still leaning more toward the Man-Bat theory.
Thomas Blake's description fits the description of the main villain in "The Most Dangerous Game". For those who don't know what that is, A man gets tired of hunting animals and decides to hunt humans.
This may mean nothing but i feel like the design of all the posters and adverts themselves are a reference to a golden age batman as they're very 30s/40s style. Clearly the game is set way nearer our time with his gadgets and all but the fact they made those little details from his golden age is kinda cool.
In 9:39 I just noticed 2 names on the clipboard and that is John smith and Chesier. If you guys don’t know but John smith is the human name for the Red Tornado meaning that he was alive around this time and then there is Chesier this could be a clever way of saying Cheshire aka Jade nyugen meaning she was in Gotham around this time
32:24 It was actually the Matt Hagen version of Clayface who Roland Dagget was responsible for creating in Batman: The Animated Series. The Basil Karlo Clayface never appeared in that show.
i like how one of the many things people are critical of about this game (at least as i have heard anyways so dont all rape me if im wrong) is the lack of easter eggs and goodys in the game, first read that complaint on the first week it was out ffs. now look at this video, theres loads of easter eggs man and good one too, i loved this game, thought the story was good and the gameplay as good as the other two games. its a good edition to the arkham games and i must admit i was surprised by troy baker, honestly thought he was mark at first, and while kevin conroy IS batman (in my eyes anyways) roger craig smith impressed me with his performance too.
To be fair, a lot of these Easter eggs and secrets are hidden very well; most people wouldn't notice them unless they were exploring the environment fully and completely. In Asylum and City, the Easter eggs and secrets seemed a lot easier to find because most of them were tied to Riddler riddles; hints informed you when and where to look, and what you were looking for.
For me it was simply the story. I don't really understand why they marketed or catered to making this an "Origins" story, where Batman is just as agile and remarkable in his fighting, or that yet again Joker and him would be the big angle in the third game, yet again. But to each its own. Can't wait for the next game of the series!
tnargtnarud i can see your point there tbh and at first i questioned why joker was the main bad again but when you think about it it kinda works for the trilogy, all 3 games are about joker and batman and how in a sick way they both need each other, i really enjoyed it erm i think there should have been more life in the city like in spider-man yea know through some cillvilns in there that would have been cool. i was really pleasently surprised orign remakes kinda suck in my opinion its one of the reasons i love the first two games, they wernt retelling an old story they just jumped stright in to the batman univerise, everything was already astablished. so i was a bit unsure about this game but yea its a good addittion and the boss fights were awsome XD
9:33 the fourth name on that list is John smith a.k.a. RED TORNADO. Also the reporter from the radio in the credits is jack Ryder who eventually becomes the creeper.
I somehow want a mixture between the Arkham and Ultimate Alliance games. It's practically impossible to mash the two together but...wouldn't that be cool?
They should make a justice league game! You play as the main members and make it like the suicide squad has taken over Star City and batman villains have taken over Gotham and well this happens to all the main city's.
Jesus Christ Yeah. And you could have the same control as the arkham games. Except for Superman, you should be able to fly. Same with Wonder Woman and Green Lantern and Martian Manhunter. And if they have character trophies, that should also be your free roam character selection screen. Play as JOKER!
My Arkham Timeline Year One - Bruce Wayne returns to Gotham City - Bruce starts operating as a vigilante - Prototype Bat suit, Bat mobile and Bat cave introduced - Calender killings begin - Batwing introduced Year Two - Calender Man brought to justice - Batman encounters the Red Hood - The events of Arkham Origins - The events of Cold, Cold Heart after gotham city police department are friends with the young Batman of gotham city now right? I don't know if this is a fact or not: When going against deathstroke, you can see penguin watching you fight him from above. If you use detective vision, you can see deathstroke have a armed status with the description of it being the remote claw.
Batman's clothes with all of his Alfred King Bat discussions: 1: Gay Gloves 2:Cool Suit 3: FREAKING KNIGHT ARMOR 4: Gray Suit 5: Spikey Shoulders 6: Shoulder Pads and no Mouth 7: Scratched Up Suit.... BAT-FASHION!!
DrewCrafter Gay was an insult to his gloves being purple, I don’t know how gay = purple tho, if they were rainbow or pink, it’d make more sense, yet still be homophobic
Except the Worst Nightmare track i.e Predator Rooms not respawning after story completion, this game is too good. I don't understand why people don't like it, but the story, the Batman-Joker relationship is beautifully depicted. Open world is really good too specially because of the fast travel batwing function. Solid 9/10.
I'm playing this game in 2018, I still enjoy the game without the Multiplayer, tho. The first Easter Egg I found is where I'm doing Blackgate Escaped prisoners, one of the Inmate says "I'll get out of Blackgate again, it' easy" and Batman answered "Maybe it's time for you to put in jail that surrounded by water." (Something like that)
