You know,... After watching this video which I enjoyed a lot, I was just forward projecting in my mind this thought.... When Batman figures out everything which you know he will. And when it's all said and done and Batman's beaten down that alien boss guy to a pulp, everyone around on this ship watching in shock, the boss guy meekly asks "Ugh.... How could you defeat me, how is this possible?" To which then comes the answer we all know and love..... "BECAUSE I'M BATMAN"!!!!!!

First time seeing weighing his options and keeping his composure while in space really makes me interested on his plan

Let's be real normal doesn't exist in comic books. Even regular humans have meta human feats. Batman isn't a normal guy he's a beast.

Batman's a scientist who doesn't need a sudden epiphany to understand the insignificance of Earth in the Cosmos.

Now thats how you character build. Send the bat to space to learn to fight aliens, upping his experience level by light years. And you know 5 years from now he will run into one of the alien species in some other story and know exactly how to deal with them. Solid writing and the art looks good too.

Yes, this has Batman at his wits and grits. Not invincible or “prep time cheat”. This is giving me Planet Hulk vibes or even some of Tarzan or Turok stories.

What i like is the fact they keep his cowl on the whole time without making any difference to them or to him in that alien space-jail. I consider it a nod to Dredd as he is ALWAYS covered from the nose and above in ANY circumstance. Dredd's helmet = Batman's cowl and i'm sticking with it!!😑

He skinnned Cheetah and made a Rug,,He used Atomic Skull as a Battery and many more im sure.

I think he might have super powers one of the old issues he was working in a lab I think some fumes he inhaled have made him a superhuman.

This is actually terrifying. This is how the strongest lose by not seeing the threat of an obsessed loner they underestimate. They're too busy defeating what they know. Then a being they've never seen, and could not know, comes along who is obsessed with learning everything. And then figures out how to overcome them. Also, considering DC perv writers, how much money do we bet that Batman and Star girl unknown get their freak on. Or is Bats still holding out for Diana.

I'll follow artist Doug Mahnke on whatever book he draws. Wish he wasn't paired up with J.Aaron on this, though. How is Batman even standing upright with a dislocated hip and FOUR broken ribs?! The man should be in excruciating pain, gasping for air every second. Nose is shattered (somehow still fine, even under the cowl) and orbital bone cracked, which should result in impaired vision, swelling, and deformation of the eye socket. This man should be screaming in pain just trying to move or breathe, much less fight. I get that it's comics, and Batman has probably done even crazier feats (see: City of Bane), but this is just... wow. All that said, can't wait for next issue!
