“Easy, The role of a lifetime!” I like that even though he’s a giant being of clay that can kill and cause havoc, he’s always first and foremost an actor 😁
Also when I’m steel mill before one arm hammer man pushes you off the ledge you grapple to you can hear Harley say “oh you look so good mr.j oh wait that’s not you is it “ and then real joker says shhh Harley
His powers make him one of the most difficult characters to depict. Too expensive to render convincingly even with current technology. Maybe wait another 5-10 years and we’ll have him on the big screen.
Gotham TV show has him in season two I believe. But he only changes the face and never goes into a full big monster form. Even copying someone else's face takes Hugo Strange's help.
Kinda random, but I always liked how Batman’s suit becomes more and more damaged as the game goes on Edit 2023: even after the new Spider-Man game (which is fantastic imo) this is still the best superhero game btw.
It shows he not invincible and even at his core he still a human being. I think the suit getting damaged is symbolic in nature. Being that batman always perseveres though muck, blood and pain.
@@Howlingburd19 yes I love the battle damage in that game. Takes me back to my early days of dragon ball z. I especially love the battle damaged suit in Arkham knight. I rarely use the other dlc suits. The main one is badass enough. But the way it looks towards the end of the game is impressive.
@@ericsuperba1759 well were not talking about the movies, the whole Arkham series has always just went for the Batman nicknames. So I wasn’t used to it.
This boss was a friggin nightmare if you didn’t get the counters right, if you were almost going to die you had to hold out until you entered the area of the lazarus pit
After playing this game hundreds of times I’d say the hardest one right before protocol 10 happened in the steel mill but in my opinion the mr frise battle is the most fun
this one is my favorite. i hate when developers make the boss villains as slow as a retard just beause they are big so we can have more time to hit and dodge them easier. but here clayface's attacks are actually fast and serious
No shit, but if you're a straight-up perfectionist, just replay plenty of times, and every single time you get hit, just restart from the last checkpoint as a punishment(Even if the boss is a hit away from dying) works best in Arkham Origins Deathstroke fight as you get an achievement for that and he is super hard to dodge, especially in New Game+ with no warnings or indications. This really trains you for the combat in the game and makes it easy to get high multipliers by picking off enemies, using quickfire gadgets, and plenty of counters which almost makes it seem like you're playing candy crush by having to pick the right enemies to hit or counter at the right time and as fast as possible.
@@pepe_s1lvia you are completely right I have beat all the Arkham games on hard and let me tell you it fucken sucked but it makes u at least 20 times better at the game
They don't call batman "the world's greatest detective" for reason, the flashbacks are him piecing everything together after clayface joker said "give me the cure" there were hints in the game that joker wasn't cured yet
@@ilidanstormage1 well kinda but it’s not going to be part of the Arkham series. The suicide squads game coming next year is going to be part of the Arkhamverse
This was one if not the finest performances Hamill and Conroy ever had in their career as playing Joker and Batman. you can feel they had fun each time they took on the role and got into the mood and part. Its so sad now that we never will hear any new lines from Conroy but we always have these vids to remind us of how much fun they all had with their parts. Rest in Peace Kevin Conroy...to us all, you'll always be the true Bruce Wayne/Batman
I love the fact that this game doesn't shy away from how Bruce truly and genuinely *grieves* the death of the Joker. They were soulmates, in their own twisted way, and I'm glad that Batman doesn't just dismiss that.
And the Joker singing "Only You" to Batman in the credits makes it even more heartbreaking. I can just imagine Bruce sitting in the Batcave alone, crying despite all the terrible things Joker has done.
@@deanmcmillan_3010 I know. Love Mark Hammil and gonna miss Kevin Conroy. Thank God he's coming back one more time for Sucide Squad Kill the Justice League
@Don't Turn Around I liked your comment but Bruce would never cry over this psycho😂 I know what voice-mail your talking about since I've competed the game like 10 times but don't get it twisted batman was RELEAVED when joker died for obvious reasons
I remember when i first played this clayface caught me by suprise i didint expect him i was like holy shit since he is my 2nd fav batman villan right under killer croc.😂 that was such a dope bad ass twist.
Clay face is in Arkam asylum as well not in his clay form but when you finally reach sharpie he’s in a cell and changes from cash to sharpie to Gordon it’s really cool
Clayface would just keep regenerating himself if Batman didnt kill him, Batman would eventually be killed. You cant just knock him out, and he doesnt stay frozen
Clayface and Solomun Grundy are the only 2 foes he's faced that Batman IMMEDIATELY abandons his No-Kill rule for. Not because he's going crazy. It's because they're *that* dangerous, to the point non-lethal tactics are out of the question.
For all his gadgets and punching the shit out of people, we sometimes forget that Batman is an extremely skilled swordsman. His jujitsu training really came through in this fight.
@@codysully1499 nobody forgets that but you buddy. Stop projecting. Everyone and their mother knows Batman knows how to fight lmao. That’s just you and your Biden level memory.
Fun fact : you could use detective vision, before this on the clay face joker, and see he has no bones, and if you use this on real joker in this boss fight, you will see he is very nervous.
10:00 a very well said statement about The Joker 10:35 one of the main reasons why Batman will never ever kill The Joker and the main reason that makes him a true hero
Nah he still would've let the joker die, he wouldn't have murdered him but he wouldn't have saved him neither. he just told joker that to antagonize him
I remember my jaw falling to the ground when i saw that plot twist in 2011. The music starting after the Clayface reveal also gives this "Final boss fight" ambiance
He was pretty much the main villain of Arkham Asylum and City, until he died, and that made me upset and nearly cry Then in Arkham Knight, well if you've played that game then you know what happens and who replaces Joker as the main villain. But also what happens with Joker too
and there's subtle hints too as well, such as the titan joker thug joker fights but with detective mode, you'll see he has no bones, which means it's calyface for obvoius reasons (or batman beat hhim up so much his bones are gone lol), and other voicelinws in the game
boss fighting 101 1. never ever look away from your opponent 2. Don't dodge in the opposite direction of the attack is coming from (dodge to the left if the attack comes the left to go over the attack) 3. Read the attacks and learn it's pattern
My Top 5 Favorite Video Games 1. The Last Of Us (2013) 2. Resident Evil 4 (2005) 3. Batman Arkham City (2011) 4. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 (2023) 5. Dead Space Remake (2023)
I’m starting to miss this game I probably played and finished this, Asylum and Origins more times than I could count as a kid those were the glory days man
Batman has a really bad track record of testing his “one rule” with Clayface. Between this and Batman: Hush, you start to wonder: Does he kill Clayface? If Clayface isn’t dead, why does he stop? Isn’t he unstoppable if not frozen?
I still remember the post-City, pre-Knight theories that Joker actually took the cure, based purely on it switching hands between Batman blacking out and coming to. Good times.
