Great video Jeff, and excellent recommendations. I just watched a Odyssey AGM battery video on properly charging their batteries and it stated then need to be charged at 14.0 - 14.7 volts to properly charge them. I am not sure if all AGM batteries have this requirement but they are 12.9 volt batteries, and regular lead acid batteries are 12.6 volts, and should be charged at least a 1 volt higher voltage.

What max charge current should be used for an AGM 660ah battery park?

Can I increase my charge current when I add more batteries in parallel to create a bigger bank . Manufacturer specifications typically only specify what amps to charge a SINGLE battery??

I recently replaced my mppt charger about 3-4 weeks ago because my old charger overcharged my 12V AGM battery. I just realized it was overcharged when i heard some bubbling sound inside the battery. It's showed 14.4 on charger's LCD but when i tested with voltmeter it was actually 15.3V. I switched off the circuit breaker. I don't know how long this being happened untill that day. Does my battery was sulfated? How long in hours it will sulfated?

I am super confused with the AGM batteries. For example, NOCO G3500 has AGM mode in which it sends 900mA to the battery, and Normal mode which is sending 3.5A. Then there is VMAX MR137-120 AGM battery, and they say use a battery charger with min 8A, and that the battery needs to be fully charged withing 15 hours. What is the catch? Why Vmax is recommending high AMP chargers for their batteries? Will they go bad if they get charged with 3.5A charger like NOCO G3500? Should I charge it as a Normal battery instead of Cold/AGM? Thanks

At what voltage should I charge my 12V gel batteries. I have a 4D 225 Ah and 2 group 27 98 Ah West Marine gel batteries. My Magnum inverter charger allows me to dial in the voltage for various battery chemistries. I have it at 40 at 40 volts not but am I under charging at the dock?

What's the most versatile battery charger available? I'm considering the Noco G26000, Noco G15000 and Noco G7200. I primarily want it for the camper that has two in series six volt flooded lead acid Trojan T145s but also for car batteries and as many other things as possible. I bought a boat and it has a charging system for AMG, but the batteries are Flooded (your standard acid marine battery). Is this a safe charging system or should I remove the charger and install a flooded charger instead?

The voltage settings for flooded vs GEL are in the description. It was my understanding that AGM can handle more amps at less voltage during charging while flooded can handle more voltage at less amps during charging. If anyone knows for sure (please cite source) please reply to this comment or visit my channel and comment. I want to make a thorough and accurate video on this subject after rigorous research.

I have a spare battery in my RV/Caravan and its an AGM. I have a battery charger that has options only for Flooded & Gel. I'm not concerned for the balance of life in the battery, but If I were to use the charger until I can get a new one, should I have it set to FLOODED or GEL? Or can I do damage to the charger or something else? No fires or anything??

Currently the Gel batteries the same price as Lead Acid. Pity its quite a mission to control the charge.

i left my mobility scooter un charged for to long & they went flat . my cartage wuld not crag it up. it being a gel battery & a gel battery charger I tried MT led acid charger & that would not cage it up A a i was told i needed a gel battery charger , which i had so why wudent it char them up & my funds wuld not strech to new . so i had two old car batterie the wuld not hold charge long & one that would . so i connected the week, battery to the gel battery & charged it with the led acid battery. in series 12v .The gel battery stated to Bild in voltage i left the two charging for a day . & the lad acid battery lost it's charge wen i switch of the charger But, THE gel battery dib not So i did this to the second gel battery. that to responded in the same way . so now i connected them to the good led acid battery. in series & charged all 3 for a day the gel pack cam up to full charge I trend of the Charger let the two batteries, sit together, Over night i the repasted them in my scooter & contend them in parallel the Normal charging state & put them. On charge with my gel pack charger that cam with my scooter IT cages them up & i keep them top, Up now i have noted., That they char much quickly & hold the charge longer these day's.
