The GospelCannon attack pattern references Gospel's GospelBreath attack. And they didn't make it a screen clear because BN3 had an active tournament scene made by Capcom IIRC
Overall in BN3 this is the best Bass chip in the game (regardless of version) and I hated that it was once an exclusive event chip back in the day so I never got to use it or knew as a kid that it even existed until years later when I played BN3 on an emulator.
And then to add injury to insult, you wait for the opponent (who now definitely has only 1 HP) to get into the front row, and finish them off through their UnderShirt... with AreaGrab damage.
"It will replace whatever Bass chip you had" Incorrect. At least for how I did it. In LC at least, you can have both chips at the same time. I got GS first and the "normal" Bass chip later, and one didn't replace the other. All that gets "replaced" is the Library entry for the "normal" Bass chips. Maybe if you did it the other way around? But that's really preventable. Just download the chip before beating BassGS. In addition, this thing completely ignores most forms of invincibility. Invis, I-frames, it says "Who asked?" and does damage. I think the only thing that could protect you are barriers/auras, and the weird glowy invincibility caused by stuff like BugStyle. Will it even hit when you're "in the air off the field" from a triggered AntiDamage? Still thinking about the video where a guy whiffed a MeteorKnuckle because they hit A too fast after triggering the opponent's AntiDamage...
Correct me if I'm wrong but in the GBA MMBN3 versions this chip is event-exclusive, right? I'm pretty sure in the legacy collection they gave it for free.
Yup in the Legacy collection you can use it right off the bat from the very beginning of the game and onwards. (Doesn’t matter if you are playing the game offline or online either)
The range of the chip makes sense, since it's basically GospelBreath. What does not make sense is the extra panel on the back. Not to mention it's one of the rare chips that doesn't hit immediately in front of you.
It depends on what panel you are on regarding the middle row. If you are in the center it will leave the two front panels on top and bottom unaffected while the front middle row and all other panels (including the back row) completely destroyed.
In Will version since this chip is given to the player at the start (no linking/event available), it wont replace the Bass/Bass+chips which you get much later in the playthrough
