One of the great little pleasures of my life is starting an applause at the end of this scene when I attended Empire in concert. Usually there are no applauses for in concerts except at intermissions and the end, but I love this piece so much and so appreciated the nonstop frenetic ask it makes on the orchestra that I couldn't help but clap once Luke took off in his X-Wing and I knew we had a short break in the performance. I was just so charged by the music that I said "you know what, screw it, I'm clapping"...and then a good chunk of the crowd joined in. Those musicians deserved it!
Well, not your fault for not getting this point (because I didn't include it in what I wrote), but because I like many are so familiar with this film I knew that there was going to be more than a minute without anyone performing, no different than finishing one "song" and then having space for an applause. That's why I did it - they have to be on stage for a full movie length and the section I wrote about is particularly hard work, so I was moved to let them know how well they had done. I wouldn't have done it if they were still playing or the break were only moments long.
@@Coldstreamer17it’s not cut slightly genius. It’s a version given to them with no music at all and they were fine it just sounds different that’s what LIVE is
