I was online when the first ban wave hit. People were chanting in the chat and VoiP. Especially when after literally thousands of players banned, a message popped up on everyones screen saying "Next ban wave is next week" or something like that. It was biblical
This feels like that fabled moment in WW2 when Christmas came around and both sides had a short time of putting differences aside or something to enjoy the holiday.
It already has tbh, I'd love to see slight tweaks to some ttk (looking at Vector and some long barrel laser beams) and a Operation Locker/Metro like map . Devs have focused on backend and cheating so far which is awesome
A visual ban confirmation is so key these days. Idc if its like this as a notification in game, or a community steam post or website announcement etc. This literally just puts the reassurance in me that the game is in great hands
happens alot more often than you think, just start playing some smaller indie games, might not find alot of multiplayer indie games like this buy alot of singleplayer
This isnt the anti-cheat thats banning them. Those bans are manual banned given by the devs. Battlebit uses the free version of EAC which is very easy to bypass. There's tons of cheaters in the game
It's a good time, but it does have it's share of aggravation. Mostly with balance. The one thing I don't like is the dev's stubborn attitude with the Vector. He tends to hand wave the criticism as 'skill issue' when it does have a legitimate problem.

@@Psychograce93is the Vector *that* op? No, however when 70%+ of the my deaths up close come from the vector then yeah there’s a problem. It doesn’t even need a damage nerf, but reduce the velocity and take away some of its accuracy.
@@robforskinsteinI think if the accuracy matched the penispwner 2000 and the velocity matched the Grossza then it would be pretty balanced. However I do really like the devs opinion of ‘being other guns up to compete.’
It's definitely GOTY for PVP. Harkens back to a time when PVP games had soul, had a plethora of QoL features, chill communities for the most part, and certain lightheartedness that you can't find on all these games-as-a-service treadmills that are created solely for engagement metrics.
I would say that the balance needs some tuning but balance tuning is expected considering it’s both early on in the games lifespan and it’s still in early access a couple guns need nerfs a couple need buffs some attachments need to be changed a bit and most importantly squad leader assault and support need some buffs probably just some passive tweaks (maybe make assault run faster so it’s the de facto rushing class and give squad leader access to all weapon types or something) and more utility will solve the issue and for support the major problem is just weapon selection being quite limited and exo armor being one time use per life
The intro to this video is so great. I've been gaming for decades and have never seen that many players get perma-banned for cheating. I love it! Let us play our games WITHOUT CHEATERS! We have 9-5 jobs and just want to have fun gaming with the boys after work
Unfortunately, unless their computers are destroyed, unless they're named and shamed or they serve actual jail or prison time, they will never stop. A ban means nothing to them if they can just buy the game again.
@@itsv1p3r there's benefit to keep cheaters around for a short bit to study their behaviour, increase certainty, how they trigger the anti cheat, etc etc. I'm not sure if battlebit devs have resources for this of course. If they don't right now, hope they do soon, or that their revenue are enough to hire analysis from easy anti cheat people or other professional group like that.
Could port tons of low poly maps made for stuff like contractorsVR. That games truly the wild west lol the other day i was using cod guns to fight a droid army as a clone at the simpsons house.
I was playing while that banwave went off too. Nearly the whole server stopped fighting for a second and everyone laughed in the chat and via VOIP, it was great! :D
Wow.. I just had the best time playing this game. Went on Discord. Joined 7 other adults from all over the world and played and laughed.. it was simple, yet amazing. I am so here for this! 🔥
I was on when that wave hit. The entire server pretty much started going nuts, then after the walls of names ended it said "Next ban wave is next week". I imagine that was like the siren in Silent Hill for all the cheaters left.
This is the only game I'm playing since it came out. I knew it was gonna amazing after a few play test. Those guys did an amazing job, can't wait to see what the future holds.

Ive had several times when I was at an at least 90 degree flank on players who would insta-snap on me the moment I put them into my crosshairs and drop me with a stream of headshots. These cheat waves are such a huge morale boost.
I've only ran into one person that did exactly what you said, I was on a flank behind them on a hill and they peeked over for 2 seconds to kill me and went back to doing whatever they were doing, thankfully that was the exception. I wonder if the people who go 127/0 in little birds are cheating or if no one is capable of taking them down
I never actually considered this being a GOTY nominee, but yeah, it definitely should Even though it won’t win over TOTK or FF16, it deserves that recognition and is a sure lock for plenty of indie awards.

it's nice to see this because I had moments in the game where I was sneaking around and some dude would just shot me from no where or just prefire at the end of a wall just before I run out.
Needs to happen more often imo. Saw a ban wave yesterday, and suddenly most of the people at the top of the charts were playing on fresh accounts, battlebit and steam.

Watching that banhammer wave hit had me imagining the COD "Tactical Nuke Incoming" + Klaxon sound clip & how the BattleBits Remastered version would be amazing if they made their own that was recorded on a $2 microphone with a kazoo version of the alarm sound 😂❤
This game brings the goofy out of everyone. I think I've only heard one mad person in the 3 weeks I've played. Everyone that uses their mic just sound like they're having the time of their lives. Possible game of the year contender and MOST DEFINITELY indie game of the year for sure.
Yes, I've seen that in BF4. Every time someone gets perma-banned from the game, you can see it in the chat box. Another feature that BF2042 doesn't have.
