Battleborn is full of fun and wacky humor. It definitely has the Borderlands feel. There aren't many "cutscenes" per se, as most of the story takes place with in-game dialogue. It's the best story in the world, but the humor makes it worthwhile.
Battleborn’s Story Mode is an episodic-style experience that can be played entirely singleplayer. Each mission is like playing a television episode, with that episode’s unique plot standing on its own within the game’s overarching story. Fight Rendain solo and save the last star. You were born for this.
As always, we used relevant gameplay, important dialogue and all cutscenes to create a fluid cinematic experience. We hope you enjoy!

Trying to position itself as an overwatch killer when really as a first person moba it was more in the range of Paragon or Smite, later on when the multiplayer went free to play branding it as a "Free Trial" making it sound like you only have very limited access. And then completely shutting the game down, including campaign and challenge missions is just ... oof. At least games like Dirty Bomb when they died just said "here is one last update removing all microtransactions and making all that stuff unlockable in game, everything will stay accessible but if there are no more servers it is what it is."

I see a great deal of Borderlands in this: The gleeful profanity, the epic violence, the dark comedy. Also, the opening cinematic cutscene is the best thing ever.

I'm really saddened by this games lack of success... It deserves so much more appreciation then it received. Way better then Overwatch, and IMO Paladins. It was the most unique hero shooter there has been so far.

Well in a sense it wasn't a "Gearbox Opening" because it was all animated and not using in game assets like with the Borderlands games.

I personally believe ISIC has a line that tops it. The line is from The Algorithm, and has a chance to play as you shortly after you beat the Galactic Emperor. "You think this is a game? THIS ISN'T A F****** GAME! This is REAL LIFE! And get this: If you die in real life, YOU DIE IN REAL LIFE! Just something for you to think about! That's right, YOU! The one holding the controller-slash-mouse! Do you hear me Steve? Steeeeve?"

+Jacob C this was made by Gearbox after all (makers of the borderlands series), it has a great style of play, the same unique visible outline on every nook and cranny feature, love this game already, though trying to make it a more multiplayer base shooter is quite a good idea after all the new multiplayer based games coming out

Most games dont allow profanity, as violent as a shooter is, devs try to make it availabe to atleast teenage players aswell, Borderlands does the same thing

This game was a masterpiece. Honestly, it's such a shame it was overshadowed by Overwatch. This game was better than OW2 when it first released, imagining how great it could have been genuinely makes me sad 😢

Well I appreciate the game's single player approach. Borderlands seems to not care if you're playing single player and puts in the same amount as 4 players. But the humor is still not really my thing.

tried to play the game alone. Humour becomes chringeworts after the first mission. I couldn't beat the mission where i have to protect the generator and lost interest in the game
