If we’re listing just our favorites to use, I think my list would be: 1. Gewehr 98 (favorite weapon in the entire game) 2. Ross MK.III (unstoppable at mid-range) 3. Gewehr M.95 (extremely versatile) 4. M1917 Enfield Silenced (fun as hell to use) 5. Lebel Model 1886 (something about this gun just clicks with me) 6. Type 38 Arisaka (exceptionally average gun that’s somehow a lot of fun)

i dont have a clue why but i just love the Arisaka it just feels really nice to use

the Martini Henry infantry gives the most satisfying kills in BF1

When I’m close quarters as a scout, I like the trench 1895.

The Russian 1895 and the Mosin have a nice cool factor imo. Both can be fairly aggressive while their sweet spot allows the infantry variants to compete with scopes. My go to is the Gewher 95 though usually.

I personally like the M1903 Experimental. It can go from a close quarter killing machine to a iron sight sniper with the press of a button, plus it’s a lot of fun to use. Another favorite of mine is the Carcano, as it’s a great offensive sniper with a fast ROF. Otherwise, your list actually features many of my favorites.

G95 was always my favourite and I can't properly quantify why, I just performed better with it than any other scout rifle. Had some good games with the Mosin Nagant Carbine recently though. Great list Kris :)

I realy like your video. I agree for the Ross MK. I like the feel of it. When stats says that 90% of the kills in BF1 happens at 73m or less and that 75% of the kills happens at 37m. It is right on the sweet spot of this weapon. Add the strait pull and it is si good.

In no particular order, my favorites are the Ross Mk III infantry, Russian 1895 infantry, Gewehr 98 sniper, Martini-Henry infantry, M1903 sniper, and Mosin-Nagant Infantry. Generally I like to use iron sights as much as I can, since the lack of scope glint means its easier to hide in a bush on a hill. Also getting long range kills (especially headshots) with iron sights is very satisfying, and a good way to flex on your enemy with their 10x scope. On more open maps like St. Quinton Scar or Empire's Edge, however, I do sometimes use the snipers for long range shooting.

So refreshing to see people are still making good content even with BF1 coming to end of its life cycle. Do you plan on making these types of vids for BFV?

The Type 38 is one of my favorites just like the Lebel Infantry

Before they added glint to the marksman rifles the M.95 marksman was a monster for both offensive and defensive play.

The arisaka bolt action sound is so satisfying to me idk why. My main rifles are the lebel, martini and arisaka

SMLE is by far the best, the 10 round magazine is unrivalled. The ross' straight pull is only for people who can't unscope and hit back again. I always unscope to see whats happening around me. And it's much more beautiful, the Ross looks like a broom

The SMLE should be the fastest rifle to cycle as it was built for speed, I believe Dice have added an alternate fire mode for SMLE/Lee Enfield rifles in BFV; which reflects the mad minute technique which British soldiers were trained to use. I have a number of these guns and a couple other rifles from the time and the Lee action is by far the fastest.

I think my favorite list would be: 1. Type 38 Ariska 2. Mosin-nagant 3. Gewehr 98 4. Gewehr M.95 5. Lebel model 6. Ross MK.III

I only use the Ross Infantry because that’s all you need for it’s sweet spot range, I also feel more accurate. I’ve been using it ever since it comes out because I like being more aggressive than most scouts

Here are some I recommend: Lebel 1886: Excellent for mid range, good capacity and it has the cleanest Scout iron sight in the game IMO. Arisaka: Good irons and a close sweet spot. Pretty good fore rate too. Works great with a bayonet so you can go full Banzai! On the enemy Ross MkIII: Good sweet spot, incredible quick fire rate. Both variants are awesome. Carcano. Similar role to Arisaka and Ross rifles, works great for close and mid range. Lightning fast and nimble rifle, altough a bit lacking in raw power. Gewehr 98: Extremely good velocity, which goes hand in hand with all variants, even the Infantry variant. Though it is a bit clunky and specialised for long range. Keep your distance! M1903 Springfield EXPERIMENTAL: Yeah, you heard that right. Now with the ability to shoot standard 30.06 ammo with the Experimental, you essentially have 2 weapons in one: A long range Marksman rifle and an overpowered close range carbine. Very adaptable and versatile, which makes it super deadly in its current state.

My top 6: 1.Russian 1895. An unusual choice, I know, but I specifically love that Trench variant for it’s fast firing. Plus, I think the Lever-Action part is very cool. 2.Gewehr 98 3.Gewehr M.95 4. SMLE MkIII 5. Arisaka 6. M1917 silenced

The Ross' infantry sights are so good

Ross MK III Infantry & Marksman because they combined the best of Lee-Enfield Mark III .303 British Sweetspot with the straight pull action of the Gewehr 95. Gewehr 98 it's also my favorite because it has a very fast travel time thanks to it's 880m/s muzzle velocity.

Honestly I really like the Russian 1895 trench it's good for mid and long range and it's cool to use that and the number 3 revolver or bodeo or the peacekeeper

Close proximity I'll use Henry martini For mid-range are used in 98 And for long-range argues the Mosin Nagant. Oh yeah only iron sights, cant use scopes to save my life. Ironic

I think that the Springfield 03 has a spot just from the extreme versatility of the experimental variant.

I’m insulted that the m1903 & m1917 silenced isn’t on here and the martini sniper is. The sniper variant is terrible in my opinion. The infantry isn’t bad.

I can't even explain why precisely but ever since they put it in the game, I've enjoyed using the Lebel. It feels so "weighty" to use like a proper WW1 bolt action rifle. 1. Lebel (personal pick) - Feels like a genuine heavy WW1 rifle with clunky mechanics. Feels good to use. 2. Ross MK III - Shame it wasn't introduced earlier. Solid at mid range. 3. Gewehr M.95 - Fun, versatile choice. 4. SMLE - Shortest sweetspot and 10 rounds with two clipper strips. I feel like most maps make it the best option in BF1. 5. Arisaka - Why is this gun so good? Trash stats, should be average but it's just amazing. I love the patrol variant personally.

Only real men use the Martini Henry Infantry.

Lebel infantry is my favorite rifle. The front blade sight makes it ideal to line up those headshots. Currently at 25,757 Lebel kills so far

Im using scout as a rifleman instead of the boring sniper and im using the gewher 95 cuz the smooth straight pull bolt and FAST FIRE RATE i would put it on 1st for rifleman scout sub class

My distance calculation skill is extremely shit, not helped by preferring longest distances anyways, so I'll need to get lucky with the sweet spots.

I like the m1903 sniper idk I'm just so good with it and basically is like a bmg because of its bullet drop(when I say bmg I dont mean a 1 bullet 1 kill)

? Russian 1895 wasn't even on the list. SMH, its my favorite rifle. Probably in part because of the legendary skin, but it has the perfect sweet spot, especially on ballroom blitz. Also the Lebel, I love getting headshots with that.
