The Bayesian Curl is an innovative exercise that targets the biceps from a unique angle, maximizing muscle engagement and growth. By using the cable machine, this curl provides constant tension throughout the movement, making it a highly effective addition to your arm training routine.
Set Up: Attach a single handle to the low pulley of a cable machine. Stand facing away from the machine, holding the handle with an underhand grip.
Starting Position: Step forward slightly to create tension on the cable. Extend your arm fully behind you, keeping your elbow slightly bent and your palm facing up.
Curl Up: Curl the handle forward and upward toward your shoulder, focusing on contracting your bicep. Use a controlled motion, taking about 1-2 seconds to lift.
Squeeze: At the top of the curl, squeeze your bicep and hold for a brief moment to maximize muscle engagement.
Lower Down: Slowly lower the handle back to the starting position, taking about 2-3 seconds to complete this phase. Maintain control to ensure continuous tension on the biceps.
Repeat: Perform the desired number of repetitions, ensuring each movement is slow and controlled to fully engage the biceps throughout the exercise.
Form Check: Keep your back straight and avoid using momentum to lift or lower the handle. Ensure your elbow remains stationary and focus on feeling the biceps work throughout the movement.
