This is what I was looking for: someone who actually tries to fight the boss without any overpowered tricks. Fighting like this is so much better to watch because we can actually see the boss's moveset and hear his OST
While everyone is using mimic tear, here you are with just a colossal sword and perfect timing and spacing. I can only dream of playing this good with a colossal weapon. Amazing video
Just killed him after 20+ tries I think mimic makes him worse he had a crazier move set if you summon it i would recommend waiting till hes almost dead to summon the mimic thats how i beat em
I think so too, When I fought malenia I was still inexperienced and didn’t have the right gear, Here I am fully prepared with the right gear and experience and he was still whooping my ass for a solid amount of time

Good job with no mimic tear. However I am sad to see he doesn't do his version of Waterfowl once on your kill run, the move I am talking about is the one where he strafes with fire sideways then does a straight shot at you with an after explosion, I've been struggling to dodge that and once I killed him (on a run where I HP tanked the hit) I was hoping there would be footage to see how to properly dodge it.
I know which move you are talking about and I have no Idea how to dodge it without using raptors mist, with raptors mist however, I use it for the wave of fire that comes in the first part of the attack and then for the explosion after that straight shot
I am in the exact same boat as you. just about every move im fine with and can dodge most of the time now, but that move is just an instant fight ender.
