I live in Minnesota (USA) and carnivore crisps are too expensive for my budget. I'm so glad I have discovered you and your videos. I'm excited to try some of these recipes.
You can easily slice any meat very thinly by *almost* freezing it first. It firms it up enough so it stands up to the knife and as long as you have a good knife, you can almost shave it.
Found a big package of chicken skins at my favourite butcher shop and will make chicken chips with salt and pepper…so delicious! Those people who eat skinless chicken don’t know what they’re missing out on😄
I buy whole chickens. I separate the thighs and legs, skinless breasts, and wings. I leave the extra breast skin on the wings or cut it separate. The price of chicken is cheaper overall this way. I feel I get free wings, skin, and back. Roughly speaking.
You are amazing! I worked 12.5 hours today and something like this would have been wonderful to have on hand. You are such an inspiration. Such beautiful fur babies! Love seeing them! We will be here when you get moved! Hugs for you, Anita!
I really enjoyed this video. I just bought 2 pkgs of cc here in the US and it cost me 27$. The Brisket is delicious. I hope to make these soon. I am not good at cooking meat yet so these videos are invaluable. And it's a plus you are so sweet to watch.
I ordered an air fryer. It is scheduled to come Sat (today is TU). I know it is going to be so helpful. I ordered one that has heat at the top & bottom, so no turning foods. I’m Carnivore now and loving it. I am going to make your recipes that fit into my Carnivore lifestyle.
I tried your carnivore crisps. ABSOLUTELY 💯 loved them!!! Thank you so much for sharing such a quick, easy, and cost effective way to get some CRUNCH back into my life! I've lost 100lbs since March 2022. With the cold weather here I desperately needed some variety that I can do at home! Please keep sharing your wonderful recipes! ❤️
What a yummy bunch of meats! I’ve never heard of beef rib fingers? I live in Texas, closest thing is thin sliced Korean beef ribs. I’m so glad you made your own crisps! I’ve been dehydrating cold cuts in Ninji foodie, but never thought to do thin meats! I love anything lamb!! Sams had pretty reasonable prices. Good luck with your move! We are military and have moved 15 or more times can’t remember lol.. ❤️
Wowzers Anita, I make my Crisps in our Air Fryer... love them and much less mess. Good for you on the 6lbs... thanks again for sharing your journey, prayers up for your move 😊.
I wondered about that too...I just wipe it clean after every use with a warm, slightly soapy dishcloth. That way it doesn't build up and it only takes a couple of minutes 😊
@@PinkLady54 it's less splatter as it's enclosed... I have thr Ninja plus so it's a bit bigger and I love it... I while mine out at the end, and I cook mine at 355°~375° it depends on the humidity here... I also add a small amount of water to the base to keep the smoke down, much like cooking bacon 🥓 😋 hope this helps
@@amsohn1 Thank You Grams! I have been using it a lil lately & getting more comfortable but those all sound like great tips. I appreciate You sharing. When I get the hang of it, I will need to buy one that's bigger too ;-) Hope You are having a wonderful summer!!
I will miss you Anita! Totally understand how busy you will be moving. Can't wait to see your new place. Congrats on the six pound loss! Weigh to go!! Your Anita Crisps look yummy.
Hi! The Anita crisps look lovely. My husband and I invested in a modest meat slicer and I have a roast in the freezer I can take out, and try slicing a few very thin ones to dry as you did. Thanks!
Anita thank you so much I have lost over 130 pounds doing mostly carnivore with a little keto veggies. And I'm so excited about Anita crisps. Thank you so much your amazing
@KetogenicWoman Yes, I do have a lot more energy because I'm burning my fat instead of the junk I used to eat. My head is clearer, too. And your recipes are helping me so much. Thank you 💕
Genius! I will hit the Asian market for some thin sliced meats ❤️ I’ve been wanting to try the carnivore crisps, but i am too cheap! best of luck with the move! I hope you’re able to sell quickly. The market here in Austin is HOT. Houses are selling high and fast. Will miss seeing you often, but that will just give me more time to cook(and clean up). I have never seen beef fingers here, but I said the said about picanha until I saw it at Costco a few months ago. When I make beef cheek I get the thickest and most delicious jello. It’s super fatty, so I try to only have it a few times a year.
That was a great crisps and cost comparison, Anita! There’s so much we can do ourselves if we put our minds to it. We got a Teddi / Pippi double feature! ❤️🐾🐾❤️ They are so precious! Best wishes with your packing and move! I work with relocating executives so I understand moving challenges. It will be a whole new adventure for you with a lot less real estate to have to keep up, right?! 👏🏼❤️📦📦📦📦📦📦📦📦📦📦
I knew you're were also an Accountant based on analysis on costs. I too am an Accountant and I also love Carnivore Crisp. I still order from them and I keep their packaging and put my own mix in it like chicken skin and bacon. I sometimes add Pork King Good to my mix. Great Movie snack. I'm so glad you introduced this method to me. It's a push for me because I've been wanting to make other meats as well. Thanks. Love your videos ❤️
Thank you! I’m interested in all these recipes! Can’t wait to try those Anita Crisps b/c I just can’t justify the insane price of the other meat crisps.🤪
Oh definitely easy to make your own crisps! I was gifted some carnivore crisps, but realized quickly how expensive they were once I ordered some myself, with exchange and customs cost it added up. Great BBBE prep 🥩
In Pennsylvania and surrounds we can buy sliced (chipped) cheesesteak meat in all supermarkets at a reasonable price which makes it easy to make beef crisps.
Lamb is sky high, was raised on lamb as my grandparents had a sheep farm, my husband and I raised sheep for 20 plus years until we retired, miss those days, lamb still my favorite meat
Anita!!!! I finally made it to the Asian store. I bought paper thin pork belly and beef short plate and bulgolgi, this one was twice as thick as the other 2 and I liked it the least. BUT.... they were all delicious!!! Whaaaaat a great thing to have in the fridge. I made all 3 packages today. I seemed to have a lot more grease left over than you. Thank you for the recipe. I salted them more than you and didn't find them overly salty. Now I think I should make some butter mayo to dip them in😋 Or do you have a good carnivore dip recipe? I made meat crisps today, 3 different kinds.
I have a meat slicer and will give this a try. One tip freeze the meat to get nice thin slices & less mess! Even if you are slicing by hand it makes a world of difference. I do this for pork and chicken cutlets - usually by hand because I'm too lazy to clean the slicer - and it comes out great.
Sorry. I wasn't paying enough attention. I was busy watching the wind whipping through there from your tree in the window. I have to re-watch now. Nice!
All these recipes look wonderful! I want to do BBBE and am working on stocking up my freezer and fridge. I think your recipes will help with variety. Thank you!
Thanks for giving alternative cooking methods. I live in an apartment and don't have room/money to store/buy a lot of the gadgets I see in many carnivore and keto videos.
Great video!! I love that you are giving us options to save money and make good food!! When you are in the process of moving, I will definitely miss your daily videos!! Love ya hon!! ❤💙💜
Great video Anita. It's so much better to make our own carnivore crisps! Yours looked great. I love doing lamb ribs in the air fryer too. They're super tasty even with just salt on. I hope your move goes well. I am very excited for you.
I am watching with interest from New Zealand - I have done chicken chip before but put my oven on it lowest heat and baked the thinly sliced chicken meat for around 5 hours - someone I was following taught me that the oven on the lowest settings turn your oven into a dehydrator
Congratulations on your New Move!!! So enjoyed this video on the crisps and your rib fingers and lamb!!! We will be here when you get settled in!!!! Have a safe move! Hi Pippy (not sure I have met you before💖) and Teddy!!!
Good luck with the move. I’ll look forward to any videos you are able to put out. I’m starting BBBE on Sunday. Prepping on Saturday. I’ll be sure to check in on the FB group for suggestions, inspiration and support! 😊
Carnivore Crisps, to me, don’t have enough flavor or salt. I think making my own would be better in every way. I would use the seasoned salt on some and just the plain salt on some. I would try using the garlic pepper on them, also. I think that would be delicious!
My family is from Irealand, we use Lee and Peering, it's not a mint jelly,it's white vinger, with mint leave ,I usually make my own,but try the realbrand ,to really understand, It really brings out the flavor of the lamb!!!
@@KetogenicWoman Oh th as great, just wash a handful, and add about a cup and half white vinegar, put in glass Jr close tight let marinate in fridge a couple weeks, then next time you have lamb put some in a dipping bowl ,My Grandaughter first tried it and said no, then kept sneaking it,now won't eat lamb without it,lol Me neither!❤Hope you give it a try!! Love you videos!!❤👍
Congratulations on a new move! Will definitely miss you for the time your away. Hoping all the packing and moving goes smoothly!! Can’t wait to see the new kitchen! 😊
i need to get back on track. ive got to get cooking ahead of time so things are available when im craving chips and what nots. and the easy meat cooking methods make so much sense. like you, im a bit older now. grins. i just have to wrap my head around meat centered meals more. and go from there. and get some hard boiled eggs ready in the fridge too! your videos make everything so simple, Anita. from one Canadian to another... thank you.
You can do it! A bowl of eggs in the fridge is such a life saver when I'm snacky, one egg is quite filling to tide me over! With doing ketovore (meat centered keto) I have way less inflammation so I feel like it's the right thing to do!
@@KetogenicWoman i was very fortunate in that i took Dr. Eric Westman's AYLA master class on Keto last year. i know how to eat now. for me it's all about finding a way to conquer the cravings. i take an anti-depressant that causes hunger/weight gain. it's really only a problem late at night and i'm a night hawk. i'll figure it out... hopefully sooner than later. eggs and those crisps will help!
Good luck in your move, excited to see your new kitchen. Will miss seeing you for a few days though. I really look forward to seeing what ideas you have next. 😉
Super excited to go see if I can find some hotpot meat in my grocery store. Those crisps really look good. And the "fingers" are some of my favorite types of beef. Great for adding collagen to my meals. Good luck with moving. It is hard if you have been living in one place for a while to pare down if you are downsizing and getting everything packed and then unpacked. But looking forward to your videos as they come out.
An older video popped up, I thought, humm, she’s feeding Teddy (which is the old way, not her current)-then, the kitchen color is off- but I watched anyway cuz I forgot these great crisps. Very best, Elizabeth
Love all the content! About the Carnivore Crisps calcs, though, was the beef you bought grass-fed? Because that would be significantly more expensive than the Asian grocery stores. I suspect it would still even be cheaper than buying the American Carnivore Crisps! Making anything yourself usually is, right? PS - love the accounting calculator. Takes me back to my finance days, figuring out future and present values! 😁
It's almost impossible to find grass fed beef here in Canada, very rare! It would still be cheaper. Also, I now have a meat slicer so if I ever do find a grass fed roast that would be the way to go!
Hi Anita! Just found your channel, and I’m not sure if anyone mentioned this already but there is a product in Canada that uses zero sugar in their beef jerky called McSweeney’s , I have found it at Walmart and Food Basics thus far .
Wow, the money saving. Were the rib fingers from Save on Foods? I don't have an instant pot, but I have several pressure cookers of different sizes, and I love them. Hope your move goes smoothly. I too am a Canadian, from the BC interior.
Rib fingers were from Real Canadian superstore and the price has gone up substantially in the several months since this was filmed ! Be sure to watch my recent budget beef meal prep videos! And hello from Langley BC! 🍁😍
Kinda makes me want to go back to BBBE. LOL I hope I can find some thinly sliced meat, I don't have a slicer either. I have a rack of lamb in my freezer too, sometime soon will try the air fryer method.
