Nice to see PC Plod actually being knowledgeable about what they are doing. Honestly, every episode I’ve watched they’ve been professional but still human. Nowadays they all know nothing more then a handbook can teach them.
This is the best of all the cop reality shows. I remember being impressed when I first saw it on TV and it has held up very well. I can't believe the youth of those pursuit drivers. Mid 20s, a Cosworth and a speed exemption. I bet they recall the 90s with a warm glow. Wonder what they are doing now
Road wars couldn’t lace xcars shoes. I was too young to watch all these growing up so I grew up with the road wars etc but this 90s stuff is second to none.
Thank you SO much for uploading these! I dont even remember this series (unless it was only shown up North?) but it is so good. Clearly the early inspiration for the later Police Interceptors.
@@gasmanrus Worthless, ha look at the state of you...shot through the ugly forest and hit every tree...you girfriend told me this as I was giving it to her backdoors.
these kind of comments always "amaze" me. it was entirely normal for early 80s cars to be around in 1997. just like it's entirely normal to see 08 reg cars around in 2023 (the equivalent).
July 88, puts it on a G or F, WTF!! 88 is E/F but July 88 is definitely not G so it's an E/F reg, unless the ashtray was faulty and was replaced, plus the G reg was the facelift so it would have different head rests and most likely a 1.6D, F reg facelift onwards was a 1.7D....
mine did not for to years, upset it even slightly like to much gas while turning setting off computer give up. 2011 i20 simple brake censor turn of abs, esp,tc and it fail any time sometimes engine off and back on fix it but soon fail again some times stay off for days and over those two years every time i driven to my local mechanic it fix it self so no error codes so no fix, most those two years just me keeping me safe no computer help i took 2 years to fully fail and esp light to stay on. had some interesting moments even back end out but save it without a snake when i snapped it back inline, i allowed the sideways energy to burn on the speed before lining up for exit corner. learned a lot car control over those years. a simple £80 fix on i20 can turn every computer help off. it fun at times but also nerving at times esp top mountains mid winter in horrid wet roads but learned what car likes and not, learned what tire limits and kept in them and adapted my driving without computer help. really it should be thing taught on driving lessons as simple thing can fail on any modern car at the time new driver so lot o learn fast but really should been taught before driving test @@petervankas1352
14:05 he didn't want to be on telly, but he is anyway. Why? So the BBC can produce some entertainment and GMP can try and persuade the public they are doing a good job. It would be highly bizarre that he would have changed his mind about being in the programme and they left this bit in., If I ever encounter the police in any capacity with a film crew in tow, I'm covering my face and refusing to engage with them at all until they film crew have buggered off.
He signed the contract so he clearly didn't mind. The way these production companies usually do it is just offer the person a bit of money and they normally accept it. It's was more expensive for them to blur the faces out back then than to just give the guy £50 for a signature.
in the bolton breifing you could tell the pursuite driver was feeling like tom cruise top gun ,,,leave it to me you know where your going know,, dont know this area ..
Old school British policing not an ANPR camera/bodycam in sight and no Bobby’s wearing military-style tactical uniforms and armour. Discretion and common sense aplenty.
So the Police give the guy shit that he should check properly that the car isn't stolen and that it is easy to do,yet they called in a SPECIALIST team to check to see if the car is stolen! So if it's easy then why the need for the specialist team 🙄
Because all you need to do is check the plate. The plate didn't match the vehicle, therefore it's not the right car or plate. They needed a specialist team to find out who the rightful owner was, not whether it was stolen or not. It's almost as though you didn't even watch the video. The copper could literally tell that the car was stolen from *driving behind* the car in question yet the "owner" supposedly couldn't tell.
we used to stop the car brake all the rear lights and off u go , they wouldnt know which turn ur taking cause brake lights were smashed , lost evry chase even in shite cars,,, then i woke up😉 😢😢😉
@@JM-cw1er I know u need to read my comment again , , i said brake all the rear lights not just the indicator lights , don't forget u are being chased by the police so when ur braking the lights u are nor fussy which ones u break so u break them all
I was pissed in a mini with 5 off us in it, we ran out of petrol on princess parkway. at 3am .after we came out of a shabine . The police stopped in a van and said theres a shell garage down there near the brewery ,See you and drove off .that was good policing in the 1980,s .we got a a gallon for £1.25 .drove home starving .
Feel real sorry for that builder, even now days people can do HPI checks & the vehicle comes back as okay, the cops concerned in this builder stop, were complete bastards !
Why feel sorry for him ? At best he was naive. Buying a cheap van from a couple of lads in a pub? Especially as he had a call from the dvla. Look at his body language, he knew!
joshuaaaron125. What you described there was about a pursuit situation and not about normal driving. Yes stay close to the car that you are pursuing but don't drive right up the exhaust pipe of the general public!
