I go to UTD, and Ricky's is really close by. I've been in love with that place for years, and I've been to a lot of hot chicken places. Seeing it randomly pop up in this video was genuinely such a nice surprise. Ricky's and Hattie B's are in a league of their own in my opinion, and it was very validating to see that you feel the same.

If you're gonna stop through Kansas City for KC barbecue some time, don't bother going anywhere in KC, it's all mostly overpriced and franchised, go to Kehde's Barbecue in Sedalia, Missouri(don't try their regular fries though), it's an hour drive from KC but the town is also known for the Goober burger, you can get it at Goody's.
