I swear if I didn’t already know Hank was famous, he would seem just an ordinary man from the country where I’m from here in southern Ky. He’s as real as southern soil, and never plays the sell out game. Just hearing him talk makes me think of deer season in the 80’s, keg parties, bass fishing, dove fields in September, everything about the country that I love. He should be President!
Isn’t it great that Hank Junior didn’t play the part that most of the sell out musicians do and he actually admits that he had nothing to do with the cooking even though he did approve how it tasted,.. he actually comes out and says “no I didn’t have anything to do with this because if it had been mine it would’ve been cooked in the ground.” You just got a love Hank Williams junior for always keeping it real and always keeping it honest!!!

That’s because it was not his set up if you noticed he pulled up and got out of his vehicle after the pig had been on a gas grill for hire for many hours and He even admitted that if it was him cooking it it would’ve been in the ground. This was a set up show and he was not playing a long
That's exactly how my family cooks a hog like the way Hank was talking about . When I was growing up my stepdad worked for a grave services here in Ga. digging graves . He had so many friends that he either worked with or met from working there and family that he would invite . We would stay up all night and yes they were passing that jar . Don't know where they got it from though . 😉 We made our on BBQ sauce too and they didn't put it on the hog while it was cooking either . Those were some fun times for sure !! One thing though.....I believe they always cut the head off of the hog. I don't think I could eat it if I seen that part . Those were some fun times and I am sure they had a great time at this one too . Thanks for sharing this video .

They were cooking racer back style. In the ground you cook on its back. The skin is out of sight and the flesh is exposed (not skinned). This is a “fan” fantasizing about art. The artist is having a hard time reminding the fan that it was only art.
