Watch Hank Williams Jr. on Kix TV. We take a look back at this 2015 visit with Bocephus in which he talks in depth about his passions - music and hunting.
Hall of Fame should close its doors for shunning Hank Jr. The man wrote the most iconic country songs of the 70s and 80s, and then sung them better than anyone else could have even tried.
@@JennaP363 He honestly is. I like me some George Strait just as much as anyone else, but without an entire staff of writers, where would have his career went? The greats in my mind ALL wrote their own songs, played the guitar, and sang. Hank Jr has more than carved out his own legacy, he refused to stay in his daddy's shadow, and embraced Sr's legacy with love and respect all at the same time. He's not putting out the hits like he did 30 years ago, but to think he's been doing this for over 60 years now is astonishing.
@@charlesdjones1 Have known Jr. since the mid 70's. He has remained true to himself. Not one to put on pretenses what you see is what you get. He especially proved that when he wrote and recorded " Keep The Change". How cool was that? If you know Jr. like I have you have got to appreciate that. He is and always will be an icon.
@@JennaP363 that's cool that you know Jr as a personal friend. I lived in Clarksville for about 7 years while stationed at Campbell, and when we weren't over there I had my tail up at LBL, camping and fishing. I was told by some campers that Hank spent a considerable amount of time at Land Between the Lakes and at one time owned a lake house there, idk. Either way, I admire his extensive collection of Civil War memorabilia and knowledge.
Love a relaxed setting for an interview like this. Hank is never one much for interviews but I feel something like this he doesn't seem to mind. Love it! Thanks Kix
Best Entertainer over the many years. Sure am missin' Hillsboro village, Bluebird - Nashville in general. GLAD i lived in music row B4 country turned weird.
@Luke Bryan what in the hell? Get outta here. This aint for Luke Bryan, let alone a fake scammer. Get the hell out with your fake crap before we kick yer ass.
I don't know if Hank knew the repercussions that he would face or if he even cared , but there is no denying that his words turned out to be prophetic . I wish more performers had the guts to say it !
I’ve been watching him since 1986, everything, and not once have I seen an interview without him mentioning falling off the mountain and his dad. Not. Once.
Wish he come fishing with me or me fishing with him or hunting an hang out no music just drinks An doing things he loves an I love to do too I’m 34 an I’d still dream of this day it may never happen cause I ain’t rich I’m just good ole boy I’d give anything to spend weeks vacation just hanging out fishing and seeing his war museum in his house 😍😍😍😍
I sit around here wonderin'/what you're doing-in your life. Never had a song deal, but I can write 'em. My name is BigAce, and my pen is my axe-Go Hankering
All depends on the day with Hank. He was just always full of himself and was a jerk. He even mentioned the local paint store in his song I’ve got rights. Hank used to be drunk and high a lot, and when he was look out. When he’s sober he’s a cool dude but still has an ego.
It would be awfully tough not to be, if you were in his position. I mean really think about it. I know that in some spiritual sense, we are in some way, pretty much all equal. That said, let's be honest, he has lived the kind of life that most men can only dream of living. Hell, it could almost be contrived as putting on a bit, if Hank didn't act the way that he does. At the very least, he keeps it real. I ain't trying to justify if, just offering, what is likely, his point of view with it all. You can't truly judge it, unless you've actually lived it and there is not really all too many, who actually has.
I love hank jr and his music but he's not a funny guy and he so wants to be funny I know the ppl around him laugh at his humor but it just disastrous I wish he could still write like he did in the late 70s and 80s
And landed on his FACE. He has worn a beard ever since because the reconstruction, as good as it was, still left him looking like a horror. The fall literally split his face and part of his skull in TWO. His brain was part way out of his head, which was why his friend with him tied his shirt around his head and face--to keep his brain from coming further out of his head. How he ever lived is a miracle. Even his surgeons and doctors said that in a news conference on TV. You'd be slurring, too.
I believe anybody who has lived through what he has and survived time after time and blessed with all the worldly riches probably knows more about Jesus than you. God is a personal journey so keep it that way
He looks like he got off a jungle safari train. Lost respect for him when he sued his own half sister Jet, to keep her from her rightful share of Father's estate. He was four years old when his Dad died, and never really knew him. Hank Sr. signed papers before Jett was born that he wanted custody of her, and then she was sold out by the people who were supposed to look out for her after he died. Hank Jr. like Willie, realized that the outlaw train was the money making train and he got on it at the right time. Had a few good songs, but thats the extent of it. The third generation, maybe time for regular careers?
well we aren't in his shoes so we won't know the full situation completely. We don't even know these people yet we're judging them. You have no idea nor do I know what really goes on.
