You might be using lesser than what's available and what you're capable of; there are some amazing benefits to using and training both hemispheres of your brain...
and In this video, I explain why.

I know it's weird but lately I have been feeling that my left hand wanted to be used more actively. I found your video today while I have been looking for a good explanation on this topic since weeks ago... Thank you !

Thank you so much for making this video. I am glad I ended up searching up about using both hands on youtube and I heard just what I wanted to know. I have known that I am weak in my left side of the body and I need to do something about it, but its only when I started meditating and doing yoga, that I started working towards using left side of my body in day to day activities. I am so delighted to know that using left sides of the body can give any person traits and personalities in lines with the ones you display. I am someone who has also started opening up to spirituality and hinduism. I might just watch most of your videos soon. Also, an advice, if you wish to grow as a RU-vidr, you should name your video titles from the eyes of the viewer. Thank you. Please keep making videos more videos!!

My father is ambidextrous. And it’s interesting, I have to mention... how much you look like my father when he was younger. He’s in his 60s now. But you look sooo, sooo much like him. Do you have dimples? 🙂 He has dimples when he smiles. Honestly that’s what attracted me to your channel was that you resembled him a lot. Anyway, I like this video! It’s a good topic! 👍🏽

I am a Right handed person but I tried being ambidextrous for a year by using my left hand for writing and other day to day activities. I remember that time as one of the most creative phases of my life. Now I know why. I am not ambidextrous anymore. I've heard that we must not strain our left hand or left side of the body as our heart is located on the left. I've also come across some kundalini yoga that is practiced only with right hand again with the same idea that left side should not be strained. What is your view on this?

If you perform certain gym exercises only exercising the right side (if you're a righty)...as an experiment, you'll notice a twist in your walk, stance, gait, and soon, the effect will echo into your organs and nerves and soon you will become prone to injuries more often. Try to not listen to music, or see nature, light, abstract ideas and just keep performing math and logic based actions for years together in a dark room... I hope you get my point in general.

Hi! My mom said that I was left-handed when born but due to superstitions, my parents had to train us to use our right hand and now I can't use my left hand at all. I am from Southern India...I just want to know why is it that left-handed is not considered well in some cultures, especially Hindu.

The left hand is considered to be the path of Dakshin/south bound and opposite to the direction of the guru who resides in the north and so none except a guru must perform dhyana and gives instructions while facing the south; all others must face north or it signifies great disrespect and arrogance to dare assume the position of a teacher. The left hand is tantric, is sometimes looked down upon but more so in India. It is the path of aghoris and occultists, witches and powerful magicians, the left nadi Ida represents the moon, hidden things, occult, deceit and shady behaviour, the sun nadi, Pingala is the leader, goodness, transparency, illumination, warmth, rational and all good things/auspicious activities must be undertaken using the right hand for the results will be God like and not devilish (so is the belief. I think use both, both are made by God/divinity..whatever; but I don't force anyone to remain right-handed. Out of respect for tradition and the teachings of BKS Iyengar, I don't use the left hand for pranayama, though I did for almost 4 years and decided not to). There is also another explanation with reflects regressive and ignorant beliefs, such as the left hand representing untouchables and to be used only to clean unclean areas of the body - it is a very caste oriented, backward and elitist outlook that must be shunned as we are living in the illuminated age of science; however, the left hand still represents devilish activities and symbolically, we don't use it for example, digitally controlled breathing unless you have seriously injured your right hand.
