Literally one step at a time.i use to stress eat, especially after my husband and I had fought but I decided to get that under control and when I felt like going to get a tub of ice cream to sooth my sorrows, I would tell myself, "Not this time. I'm going to process through my emotions and not try to distract myself from them." I'm about 5 years into not emotional eating! It's very freeing.

Make her fried “rice” recipe using riced cauliflower, it’s so delicious!! if you didn’t know that it was cauliflower rice you would think it was regular rice. I love it so much❤
When you’re eating, take the time to ask yourself some questions: why am I eating this; is this making me happy? Am I full; will I have it again? Asking myself those questions helped a lot. At first I ignored it and did it occasionally when I caught myself binging. I slowly started to be able to see patterns in when I binged. Then I was able to work on doing something else when normally I would want a food.
So true!!! Just tonight my husband and I were Watching the debate (what a mess) and i was crazy sugary foods like icecream and a donut because it was always a coping mechanism to eat. I resorted to some pork rinds but it's definitely amazing how the environmental factors and stressers can effect how we begin to eat
You are the only dietitian that doesn’t trigger me in the way you talk about food. I’m finally at a healthy weight I wanna just maintain. I had appendicitis on thanksgiving day in 2020 and after that surgery I went buckwild with me diet and ate cream cheese at every meal. I went up to 160lbs. Then I started a calorie cut, and worked out everyday and got down to 120lbs. Even though I’m not overweight anymore , i get so triggered over the thought of it😔
I wasn’t born and raised in the US, but have been living here for almost 7 years. It’s wild how people have made such an idol of politics. Regardless of who is president, that person can’t save you. It’s a person with sins and struggles. The only one you should put your trust and faith in is Jesus Christ. Don’t think you can put your trust and faith in some president and everything will be fine as long as they’re in power. It just doesn’t work that way. Put your trust in Jesus and watch Him change your life🌸

Arfid food avoidant🙋♀️. Severe constipation with no appetite at times. I MUST watch tv when eating to help me swallow and finish most of my plate. Not the news though😂
I wish I could understand stress eating. When I am stressed, the only thing I can focus on is resolving whatever issue is causing my stress. Food is the last thing on my mind. If I’m going through something particularly troubling, I’ll lose a few pounds because I don’t take the time to eat. I do not understand this idea of food being comforting when one is experiencing something negative. There is nothing more comforting than solving a problem or learning how to adjust when the problem is out of your control.
@@jackiealltrades I know that not everyone is like me. Considering that there are nearly eight billion people in the world, it would make sense that people have differences. I simply stated that I do not understand this difference. It is not a weakness I share. If you are emotionally disturbed by that, it would behoove you to seek support through the resources that are available to you in your community.
Yeah, we totally need the convict supporting the bans of basic healthcare, queer and interracial marriage, etc. Biden is a total failure too, but at least people who aren’t cishet white men looking to marry exclusively cishet white women would have a handful of our rights under him. It's been hard to shake things off, especially with this economy. Your videos have been helping me a lot with all the weight I gained from losing hope in our nation. What do you use for salad dressing? I like the real thing so just try to watch portions. I like the 3 tbsp olive oil, 2 vinegar, 1 mustard, 1 water, salt and pepper We eat a lot of veggies roasted so oil again I know fat is higher in calories Help please

THANKS TRUMP AND BIDEN. Nah, but seriously it’s going to be a doozy. Key for me is to avoid anything news related and just check highlights once a week to avoid overload. And I only specifically look at written news that I can quickly parce through. TV will just repeat the same story for days and hype up the fear.. no one needs that shit. I also skipped the recent debate, and will skip all the others. I know who I’m voting for and with the use of social media, we all already know what they stand for anyway. The debates are just reality TV garbage.
