You missed the highlight of Railey called Haad Phra Nang. Railey has 3 sides. The beach that the boat docked is west side area called Railey West. You have to walk to the east side, Railey East then walk to the south side which is Haad Phra Nang. Haad Phra Nang is appeared on all the post cards and this place is included in the 4 islands trip at the end the trip as well.
Like everyone says you missed the Phrarang Beach with all the phallus's, has the best sunsets! 10-15 caves just on the walkway, the hidden Lagoon, Tonsai beach has a real cool hippy village for climbers behind the main resorts. Craziest place ever.
I've never been to Thailand before so I really enjoyed your video. Both of you are very entertaining as I have viewed many of your videos. Thanks so much - great job!
Oh come on! You’re making me feel soo excited with my upcoming Thailand travel this November! Haha. I’m a new subscriber! And content, cinematography and narratives are great! I like it. I’m quite picky with travel vlogs as to who to subscribe, but you’re vlog is definitely worth-watching! 👏😊
I love Railay so much (even though it's grown SO much since my first visit in 2009) BUT I will say that prefer to stay there vs doing a day trip. When you stay in Railay you really get to see the beaches at times when the tourist boats aren't coming in and out, and I think those are the best times. As for prices there are definitely some cheaper spots too if you head back off the beach down the shopping street & a few awesome viewpoint hikes on Railays hidden beach as well! Heading back for the week in March & can't wait! 🙌🙌
Have not been to Railay but absolutely will on my next trip over to Thailand. Looks stunning. You guys create such amazing travel videos. Beautifully captured. Love it!
Cheers Alex, means a lot 👌🏼 If you do go, check the comments here for a few other beaches you can walk to that a more chill - we didn't, but should have.
September 1989, It was so peaceful back then, im going again in February 20, Its changed but the beach looks the same, after 30 years im lucky to go back. 30 bt a night back then .Only 1 place had power, great memories of my youth.
Nice beach.I was reading the news and entertainment this morning and it said 10 best couple bloggers to watch. There was Stacy and Danger. Congrats. In the write up it said you were no bullshit approach which I like.. Keep enjoying mate. Chow
It was on Google News . I should of sent it to you guy's . wasn't sure when you would vlog again. Google post news and entertainment daily on my phone and ther it was.. Chow
Railay is my favourite place in Thailand. I’ve been back 3 times now. I hope it never changes and becomes too popular because it will totally spoil the place. Glad you enjoyed it :)
Me too, unfortunately tourism seems to be destroying Thailand, I first went in 2003 and back again 2 years ago, the number of visitors has easily increased 3 fold, films like the beach and the Internet have a part to play in this, its an amazingly beautiful country though
Enjoying your videos. I will be going to Thailand at the end of April with my partner, for almost two weeks. First staying at Bangkok and then heading to Krabi for a few days. Still planning on going to other areas but haven’t decided yet. You guy’s videos is really helping me plan.
Stoked to hear that, you guys will love it! Definitely check out our Koh Lanta videos, we liked it there a lot more than Krabi. Phi Phi has some amazing water as well, but is a bit partyish, worth looking at a stop there on the way to Phuket
Thanks mate! You like the frame rate and quality? We notice on some TVs it looks awful, but phones and laptops is noooice and crisp. Shoot in 50 or 60fps always and export and upload in that as well. Slow mo is 120 or 180 FPS.
That's good to hear man - been trying to make them a bit more compact and immersive lately to keep peoples attention. Peeps get bored so easy these days haha
Liking the no mercy connect 4 haha, your right about the chill vibes you get there, I've been there twice and each time did not disappoint, theres something about there being no vehicles that makes it relaxing. I'd recommend staying there if you ever visit again as there is another beach, viewpoint, lagoon etc. Have you hit up all the island parts around the west? Looking forward to your next one!
Yeah we did hear about the other spots close by, will check them out next time for sure and try and stay there. This main beach was fun for a day, but then we'd be all about finding those chill spots else where for sure.
You made my day, thanks Angie :) Experimenting a lot more with my flow and trying to make things a bit more immersive, rather than quite 'square' talking, upbeat music, talking.
You know we really should read more often, but it just doesnt really fit much with our times except for when Stace is trying to sleep haha. Way too hot in the sun here anyway!
Guys go by boat to Railay East beach and the Phranang caves. This is the most beautiful, cozy beach in this area. You have visited less attractive Railway West . Cheers :)
Hi again... great mini movie.... should have ventured past the boat and checked all the bars along east Railey 🌴...Bang Bang bar and skunk bar etc. All lovely.
Love the Thai vibes 😁🙌 Great video!! 🎥 Try and stay a night or two there next time 😉 It gets fun at night on the other side and there is a bit more exploring you can do to the lagoon and caves 😊👌 Love ❤️ Railey!!!
Daneger and Stacey Awesome! That’s what we love ❤️ about Thailand 🇹🇭 Every time we go back, even to the same places, we always seem to find something new and exciting 😉🙌 Another super video though 👌 Island 🌴 vibes even though it’s not an island 😁
I love those random moments that happen when travelling/holidaying - makes for the best memories. :) Speaking of which, Im heading back to Bali in June with a couple of friends. Ive been to ubud before so will spend 3-4 days there and a further 3 days at a second destination...Do i go for the Gili islands or Nusa islands??? We are looking for some chill time with snorkelling, some yoga on the beach, sight seeing, some drinks (but nothing heavy / rave like). What would you guys pick if you only had one option? (and if so which exact island e.g. Gilli Air Vs Gilli T or Nusa P vs Nusa C?) I've watched every single one of your Bali videos but you make everything look so awesome its hard to choose x
Sounds like Jamie helped - Nusas are amazing, but you need to be pretty confident with a scooter or have a tour company to take you around. The Gilis are a lot easier from memory, we'll go next time we're in Bali but have heard even better things about Lombok as well
Make sure you read the other comments! There's lots of recommendations for a few other beaches you can visit within walking distance... might be too late now though.
To answer Stacey's question about Connect 4, I'm rubbish at all board type games and end up losing regardless - even to the kids no matter what the game! I thought Railay looked amazing, but probably better suited to a day visit??
Haha you're just being polite and letting them win, right Rex? 🤣 Lots of comments about the few beaches close by that we could have walked to, apparently a lot more chill. That makes us think we could spend a few days staying there exploring the spots, but if it was just this one beach it's a day trip only for us
been to railey beach the second time last week .. i must say even it got more touristy in the last years, i still looove it! but yeah, you missed some spots you would have loved ..
Great video and enjoy you 2 very much . Just came across you by accident lol . I’m thinking of visiting their next year for my 50th but the wife is not feeling it . I guess it looks great and am sure it’s a beautiful county but I’m trying hard to get the wife’s heart in Thailand 👍🇬🇧
Glad you found us! The greatest thing about Thailand is the variety of ways you can travel, money talks and if you're from the UK your pound goes a long way! Show her an all inclusive Club Med or something and see if the alcohol, pool and beach get things going haha.
Daneger and Stacey I’ve decided as a surprise we are going to Malaysia Kuala Lumpur and then up to Penang like you did on you’re journey . Thailand is not for her so I’ll not force the issue lol . We will continue following you’re journey etc as we really like you both and you come across as such a lovely couple. My sister lived in New Zealand for almost 14 years but she suffered with home sickness too much and eventually moved back 3 yrs ago . We have a lot of family there so it’s a special place x enjoy guys and thankyou 👍😀
Am in Ao Nang at the moment. Staying in a Guest House. Is tremendous. Great base. Little places around the Mosque are ace. Love Rayleigh. Such hippy vibes. 👍👍
I know it’s been be said before but I can’t imagine that it’s not as nice as when I was there in 2005. I might be going back next year and I’m dreading seen it overrun now as compared to before.
Hey!!! Nice video, as always!! There are gorge beach, Pranang, 5 mins away from place where you have been. You have to visit Pranang beach! You can take boat from Ao Nang beach to Pranang, same price :)
Yeah far too many people, but theres a few other spots we could have escaped to apparently - kinda wish we did! Which ever is a) Colder and/or b) cheaper wins ✌🏼
Stacey!! Yeah I can't play Connect 4 with my boyfriend anymore. During a ferry from Helsinki to Tallinn he tried to entertain some family friends' kids by playing, and now it's an obsession. He demolished all of us after the kids were tired of losing. AND he just bought a 3D version that I refuse to play. How do you even play it in 3D?!! The worst game ever.
So refreshing to see this beautiful episode. There's such a peaceful yet fun pacing to your vlogs. Our YT friend "Leon and Tesh" on YT have a similar fun feeling but they're new where you guys are well established. Bit still, we really appreciate this kind of story telling and especially your honest approach to everything you share :) Blessings, James and Kim
:) okay checking out WANDERGO now. LOL. Been to Railay last year. Should I tell you if it's overrated or not? LOL. Supporting you all the way from VN, your avid fan from the PH
Sounds like some of the other parts of Railay are nice, did you get there? This main beach was fun for a day, but we'd deffo be hunting the more chill spots next time
An afternoon in Railey doesn’t give her the sufficient review that she deserve.. it is wayyyy more beautiful and fun there. This review covers 1/4 of what Railey offers, perhaps 2 nights there will give it a more comprehensive review :D
Loving your content as always I’d love to see your top five fav beaches you guys have visited in one vid would be awesome! Also love the intro music to all your vids always refreshing! ☀️☀️
Hy guys, it was a good video nice and funny. But alas, you missed one... The next beach is Pranangh beach (can be reached on foot by following the pedestrian walk, next to the cliff, or you could have stayed in the boat and request to be brought to the next beach). It is a similar beach, with less people and les shops, but with the 'Penis caves'. Two holes in the cliff furnished with lots of (mostly) wooden penisses (some more modern are plastic, with a little altar to boudha also. You definitely will need to go back lol
We've heard all about the penises haha. Looking back we definitely should have explored the other few beaches around, but decided to just take it slow and chill
@@DanegerAndStaceyI was in local company when I went there, and we got off the long tail at that second beach. And we came back on foot to Raylay beach and after a drink we took the boat back. Anyway, you seem to have fun exploring. Great to see you guys.
I thought it was over crowded and terrible for it in 2008. Cut my stay short ( just 3 nights) because of it even though I met nice people here just couldn't stand the crowds. It was my 6th time to Thailand.
I'm Thai, but I've never been there before hahaha. Some places are like to be foreigner's places already and Thai people not intend to go because it's too crowd.
I was in Thailand last week and was wondering exactly what beaches the Thai's go to, as I certainly didn't see any in the Krabi region! (apart from those working there of course)
After Philippines I always compare all the beaches with Philippines beaches hahaha.. ao nang and raily its not that good i think.. if you go to ko phi phi, spend at least one afternoon in ibiza pool hostel. Nice pool. Cheers from Gili Trawangan now!
There are a lot of damage because of heavy tourism for so many years. Now after no tourists it’s getting better. You can see here sharks come back. News is in Thai but you see pictures. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sDf7iiE0QYU.html
