Regularly at RT66 Raceway in Joliet, the "Illinois Beat the Heat" officers provide an opportunity for all racers to compete against them for a "I Beat the Heat" Tshirt. Promoting and educating car enthusiasts to high school drivers to take it off the streets, by racing the police on the dragstrip! On this night, Jim Luckett in his "Illinois Beat the Heat" 406SBC '80 Cutlass, John Hulbert in his "Law & Order" "Salute to the Troops" 472BBC '84 Caprice and newcomer Denny Reed in his "American Hemi" Procharged Hemi '07 Charger take on a couple of the local bracket racers and a couple regular test n tune racers to the delight of the fans.
