Beating Dark Souls 2 by Summoning Stupid Characters 

Having an invader who never directly fights you, but instead tries to play ticks on you and runs away like a scooby-doo villain when it doesn't work.. is the absolute best thing I've ever seen. Makes me want to do it in elden ring, but I know I'll just get aoe blasted to hell the moment they spot me.

I love how RT just plays prop hunt with the invaders its so wholesomely funny

Btw, the "this level is just a poorly managed business" bit went on longer than shown. During it, chat decided that since there wasn't any bathrooms, the workers used the pots instead. The poison in them is just old shit and pee that's become toxic

The guy that roleplay patches really embraced his character

Guts from Berk and Senator Armstrong maybe iconic characters, but nothing can be as iconic as Dark Spirit Jack and his magic pants

Random Fun Fact: In the windmill level, the headless mannikins originally had heads. If you look up the cinematic reveal trailer for the game, you can see the original version of the enemy. For the curious that don't feel like looking it up, it was a smooth porcelain mask with two narrow eye slits with a teardrop coming from one of them. Unfortunately, From got threatened with a lawsuit claiming that the mannikin's masks were too close to the ANBU masks from Naruto, so they decided to just go "screw it" and remove their heads entirely. Some people have modded the mannikin head helmet that the player can get to more closely resemble the cinematic reveal trailer version, but since the new version has lips and a nose it just doesn't look right

Honestly he wouldn't had so much problem with the poison swamps if he just had more ADP. Such a RU-vid moment.

genuinely did not know that there was a plunging attack animation on the salamanders, dark souls 2 just does that time to time, reminding you it still has things you have yet to see

I'm honestly so grateful to all the fans with their names and builds, as summons or invaders. it's all so awesome. This playthrough would be 10 times less great if it wasn't for them.

Patches is the best invader ever. Only kills you when you fall for his tricks. The Lingering Flame landmine at the fogwall for Blue Smelter killing a summon is maybe the best thing I've seen all day

Back when I played this game when it first came out, I didn't even know the Iron Keep or the poison area even existed. I didn't know how to turn the room in Majula, so I actually opened to door to Drangleic castle with a million souls. I just got lucky, and one day saw a playthrough going through this area, and I was so shocked that I didn't even know it existed.

Trusty Patches truly is an entertainer. What a lad.

I think it's funny that Darksouls made poison swamps a thing when they don't really exists in reality, and now if I saw a swamp I wouldn't be "oh god there might be leeches in there" but "oh go i'm gettint poisoned aren't I?"

The fact that in watching a Dark Souls video with a Character called Senator Armstrong in it while I’m currently playing Revengence AT THE BEGINNING OF THE ARMSTRONG FIGHT scares me, but I also find it hilarious

Guts from Berk is the family friendly version where he has a stable job working a general store, a best friend who supports him, and a wife whose aware of what’s going on.

I'm sad the part where he was questioning his sanity over whether or not an NPC was a real player or not didn't make it.

About iron keep: Yeah you were at the top of a windmill Iron keep is there because Ds2 went through development hell and so some areas had to be stitched together awkwardly. Hence why you ride an elevator upwards into a volcano. Ds2 is pretty good for a game that was basically ripped apart and had to quickly be sewn back together though.

I love that Trusty Patches went “you know what, I’m going to make a trickster god.” If you play his game and beat him at it (that game appearing to be Prop Hunt) he’ll leave you alone. But if you don’t spot him he’ll attempt to hinder you in some way. One of those ways does include death but that’s just a minor setback honestly.

I only knew Berserk from the cgi anime from a few years back, but recently I watched the memorial edition of the old anime and had the unfortunate realization that Berserk is really, really good.

Normally that boss fight is full of poison like submerged but lighting that windmill on fire it mostly disappears.

Y'know, something tells me RT isn't too worried about the manpower, he has a bag full of -magic items- more men.

Every time Patches scurried away after being found out, I imagined him going "woopwoopwoop" like Zoidberg. Or Curly from 3 Stooges if ya like.

They have GOT to add an interactive patches to the next game (or Elden Ring DLC) that randomly hides and messes with you like that!

I keep coming back to this playthrough. I really wish Dan would have had more episodes in this series - so much missed content for us viewers. This episode doesn't even come up for me when I do a Google search.
