@Adrian Flores This is what we had when we were children before luxuries such as memory cards and cloud backed up save files. It's not a cheat. Just a way to continue at a specific spot in the game.
I knew I had to just dodge all his punches in the 1st round but I never knew how to get the star. I'm trying this as soon as a get home. I've been trying to beat Tyson since the 80's and never could.
@@vaultkreeper2635 don't get down on yourself. Make sure you are playing on an old CRT TV. The ever so slight lag on new TVs make it near impossible for the common gamer to beat Tyson.
Dude.. I am 45 this year and I have watched this video twice in amazement.. What memories.. Love the secret code entry. Now I gotta go watch someone playing Contra..
Lol!!! For real tho, bro I used to get in so much trouble playing this when I was a kid!! I took but whooping for Mike Tyson kicking my ass... Go figure😝 with that being said I still had an excellent childhood. I miss those dayz, where does the time go..✌👋💪👍
Thanks for posting these, honestly they bring back so much nostalgia for me. I remember being a little kid and my mom used to drop me off at a Salvation Army youth center. An older guy would come in and always request they break out the NES with this game. I'd just sit near him and watch intensely. I loved video games but mostly I had a secret crush on him and just enjoyed watching how much he loved this game and how much into it he was. 🤣
We may not have had microtransactions, but we had plenty of broken, unplayable and terrible games - mostly thanks to LJN. I remember getting X-men for NES. I learned a hard lesson that day.
That maybe true but that just made beating them all the more satisfying rather than the same old boring story driven games that provide very little challenge they make now.. yaaaawn
I beat him like 6 times after playing the game for a very very long time. Im 40 now and played this game recently. I still remember the code to get straight to him. I had no chance at all. But my legend of beating him will never die
Got to admit your reaction speed and timing are exceptional. Took me quite some time to master him and planning to get him down three times in the 2nd round if you manage his health bar the Correct way in round 1. Great 👍 job!
This is incredible. I remember when I played Punch Out… I couldn’t figure out how to beat Mike Tyson. It’s incredible how you beat him in 6 punches. WOW!
Never understood the points system in this game. Apparently, to beat Tyson on points, you'd need a minimum 5,000 points. Forget that boxing matches aren't scored that way at all... to get 5,000 points, you have to hit him a lot more times than he'd have to hit you to KO you. So that means that over the course of three rounds, you could land a dozen punches on Tyson and he could fail to hit you even once... but at the end of three rounds, the judges are like, "Oh, it was Tyson all the way. Better luck next time, Little Mac."
@@rossrobertson674 Yeah, the old Nintendo Mike Tyson would flash white a split second before doing his haymaker allowing you the warning to dodge. Emulators eliminate this which takes away that warning frame.
I’m scared to pull this out the attic because my daughters will see me act like a child, throwing the joystick into my old school big booty tv and yelling they cheating. Emotions will get high my my kids never seen me like that. So.... it’s staying in the attic.
Idea - You could beat him in one punch. If you could dodge all of his punches, then you would only have to score one punch of your own to beat him in points.
I have never been able to beat Mike Tyson, but watching you and how you did it on think I will try that. BTW, I never knew you could knock him down with one punch until I saw you do it.
@@YTkendog Mach o man (the last guy b4 tyson) was tough but I did eventually learn how to beat him, never ever managed to beat tyson though. And for some reason the passcode i got after beating macho never took me straight to tyson, for some reason I would always have to beat macho again b4 getting another crack at tyson, which was quite annoying cos tyson would usually whoop me in round 1,i think i got to round 2 a few times but that was as close as i got
Sandman was a huge pain in the ass. whenever I play this game after a year off Sandman is the hardest, then Tyson then Super Macho man. And the reason Sandman is the Hardest is because you have to fight Piston Honda 2 , Soda Popinski, Bald Bull 2 and Don Flamenco just to get back to Sandman who was giving out free beatings all day! Mic Drop!!!
It took me around 3 weeks to beat SuperMachoman n when I did I beat Tyson the same night. After 3 or 4 tries 😊. Back in '85. The music in the game brings back memories of long ass sessions
YOUU Better Watch It, Cowboy!! Cause If TYSON Sees You Beating Up His Computer Self, He MAY Come After YOU!! AND YOU BETTER BE IN GREAT SHAPE TO RUN FAST!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! ( Take Care, have A Good One )
Wow dude. I've beaten this game many times and had no idea that you could knock him out in 6 punches. I've also never been able to knock him completely down when he blinks his eyes. Cool vid!
