Great video! The marches played were, 1) 1:19-By the Centre 2) 4:47-The Purple Pageant 3) 7:42-Steadfast and True (In Treue Fest) 4) 11:10-(???) 5) 13:15-Machine Gun Guards
I’m beginning to recognize many of the marches played in these parades and it’s all thanks to you,so once again a big Thank You to you Delvin.❤️❤️❤️👏👏👏
There is NOTHING better than a massed band playing marches. Thanks for posting. Nice to hear some marches not played often. There are so many march gems that are long forgotten and not played any more.
Excellent video, AJKC Channel! And thank you for zooming in at 8:56 mins on the memorial to those who died in the terrorist attack in Bali in 2002. I had no idea that's what it said on that wall. It was actually the grumpy-looking women and men in blue near the tent in front of the steps that caught my attention. Surely they are a private security team and not from the Met police?
It's a great standard and very enjoyable, but around about 153 marched down, so it would be reasonably to call it a "Military Musical Slightly Less Spectacular than in the Past". I know nothing stays the same forever, but having destroyed nearly every British Army band you ever heard of in the last couple of years (hidden away during the pandemic), such that bands we once knew like the Army Air Corps, Royal Engineers, Royal Signals, Paras, Country Regiments, Cavalry and all have now gone, the Goverment has not even spared the Household Division. And, as we all know, sound gets lost on Horseguards, so it needs a big band to carry it. Hopefully the Corps of Drums marched on separately at some point. But at the 2013 Beat Retreat there were 180 regular bands, even excluding the Corps of Drums and Pipes of Drum (well over 100 more in total). Those, I believe, are the facts...
