When Margery asks George to marry her at the end--what a moving scene, and so beautifully scored. John Barrymore really deserved his Rudolph Valentino medal for his performance in "Beau Brummel".

John Barrymore was an amazing actor. Wow. That part when he almost ran to Margery, but it took everything he had not to...and the way he broke down like that, OMG, you could feel that(I was crying too). Wow, just wow. ❤❤❤❤ Anyone who says that silent movies haven't the power to move one emotionally, just hasn't watched the right one.

Mary Astor (Lady Margery Alvanley) co-starred with Humphrey Bogart in "The Maltese Falcon" Okay, now that's a bit weird... James Schafer (Jimmy Schafer, Music) is listed as doing the music for "Hungry Hearts" (1922), "Beau Brummel" (1924) and "Mockery" (1927), then his career jumps to "Recalling Ted" (2004) and a string of other films, video games and shorts up to 2021. I'm guessing he's not over 120+ years old as I really can't see anyone _that old_ composing music for an episode of "Invader Zim." Heck, I can't see anyone that old _living!_ =) On a side note, The Beau Brummels were a 1960's band from San Francisco. They appeared in "Village of the Giants" and as The Beau Brummelstones in a 1965 episode of "The Flintstones." ♪ Laugh, laugh, I thought I'd die ♪ ♪ It seemed so funny to me ♪ - The Beau Brummels - "Laugh, Laugh"
