Beautiful Hardwood GM Screens (Feat. Michael Alm) 

Hey! Small thought. When the kickstarter kicks off in July… could there be a stretch goal for a LIVE 6-8 person, Wyrmwood, D&D one shot, featuring Doug & Bobby + , hosted by a TBA DM, and all played with Wyrmwood items hand picked by Jason and Michael? I would back the kickstarter just to see that

The dice tower makes the screen look like a castle, which is cool, but I'd have to see how the accessories fit around it.

Okay, so now I need to hear the Macklemore story.

Might be a dumb idea but you could always make a second octagon tower accessory to go on the other side of the GM screen. It could be a holder for something like the paladin trackers. Then you could slide them in and out of the tower as needed and the whole thing would be symmetrical.

That Necromancer screen looks great but it really makes me wish there was a Signature Series screen with the same stringing and wood mix as was seen in the Hexy Time KS. Will certainly be eager for the DM Screen launch but I so hope a Signature series screen is being held off for a reveal in the campaign

I would like to see the octagon tower with the panels having the tablet trays attached. I think it would look really good if it fit snuggly between two panels that have trays.

“I kicked Macklemore out of my D&D group” is a sentence that was so deeply unexpected, but at the same time, the most believable unevidenced anecdote I have ever heard.

Have you guys thought about using your Twitch channel to do a, like, Wyrmlyfe D&D one-shot campaign with your screen, dice, trays, and people? Could be a fun way to promote the product while also seeing people like Doug play D&D for the first time in a long time?

Love that the tower integrates with the screen. What would be even cooler is a matching octaganonal shelf type storage on the other side of the central panel to create a castle looking facade.

I like the options that Doug showed. The dice tower gives it a castle appearance and the public/private rolling is a nice feature.

Hope you launch the tower! And if you do, please try rolling multiple dice at once out of one side or the other. Looks great for single die rolls, but curious how it handles more than one at a time.

If it hasn't already been said... There should be a matching octo-tower with drawers or shelves for minis an to balance out the look of the screen.

The veneered red and dark wood was giving me serious Vader vibes. Definitely my favorite.

A few comments: 1) The look on Bobby's face at 5:45 when he's trying not to smile...with ROSE-COLORED GLASSES...that sums up Bobby right there. 2) I'll take a Necromancer screen with a matching tower if possible. 3) For me, part of the cool factor of the tower was watching the dice roll down. You might want to offer an option where one side could be clear to SEE the dice in action. 4) All of my dice are metal...scratch the tower. I has a sad...

What I love about the tower is if you get a second one it will look like a castle wall.

My main problem with the dice tower is it makes the overall screen asymmetrical. Can we either have a vagely octagonal storage unit for the other side (could just be that shape at the front), or have an option for a square tower?

The tower looks great. Looks like a little wooden castle. I know my DM would love it. Those screens are slick as hell, most of the DM's I know would freak out over those. (Can any of us afford them? Whole other matter.) Doesn't Doug have like fifty kids? That's why he hasn't played D&D in four years, he's been busy...

padauk would be great for vampire the mascaraed and other horror themed dnd stuff, and looks amazing.

Real talk, the dice tower is one of the main elements that would make this screen different enough from other DM screens enough to make the investment. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Dice tower looks like a great addition to me. I would also suggest another octagon tower structure for the other side for symmetry, but instead consisting of tiny drawers for storage.

Dang these look gorgeous! Watching all the Wyrmlife videos lately about making the tables and dice towers and screens has got me inspired to get into woodworking tbh, it looks really fascinating.

A "Doug plays D&D" stretch goal would be hilarious, especially if the DM used the 16-monster "real D&D" HP tracker in at least one of the encounters. :D

What about a Wyrmwood DND session when the kickstarter starts? I think that would be absolutly awesome. 1. A photo / video shooting that you could use for the kickstarter. 2. Great for inspiration, because: What better way is there to get ideas what DND players want, than when you play yourself? 3. A absolulely spectacular video (a video series) for RU-vid 4. The possibility that Doug plays and cosplays a female gnome bard!? 5. FUN to play the game! I also would like to see all the Wyrmwood furnitures and supplies combined in one place

Dice tower seems like a must have almost in terms of being available for the campaign. I have a thief set, to think I could get a screen and now a tower so my whole set up is all thief is amazing

The two-way dice tower locked in with the DM screen is incredible. Jason is killing it. I want it two D&D campaigns ago. I like Doug, usually. Usually, he has some really good points to make... But his hesitation on the dice tower is wrong and bad and makes me sad. Even more, it's not the Doug I've come to usually trust. I need a rallying Doug "Let's get it done" table smack on this dice tower, or I ask that he be relegated to dog beds. ♀🐕

I really hope there will be a configurator so I can figure out what combos to get - I’m thinking wizard centre panel with necromancer side panels - but want to see how it looks before committing- so stoked for this, I was skeptical at first and still kinda wish there was a frame and panel option, but I’ve been converted enough to want to buy this!!

to be honest that plywood tower with the hardwood accents looks fucking awesome. They looks like gem stones and the patterning is just mesmerizing. if i had the money and need to buy a GM screen i would prolly get that one because its also just so eye catching.

Yo I'm in love with that padauk base with Ebony vaneer. That dark red pops soooo nicely and makes the aesthetic super bad ass. Also, the dice tower is beautiful and I'm excited to see what Jason is going to do with the outlets.

The tower looks great so far!! I agree with the people saying a second octagonal accessory to make everything symmetrical would be great. Maybe just a little set of shelves/drawers for the other side so keep minis and dice off your notes.

The second, the exact moment you pulled out the "necromancer" one I went from "I'll make it myself" to super ficking tempted. Everything else is just data to me.

The figured maple panels are giving me flashbacks to years I spent in a woodshop color-matching wood for glue-up.

Dice tower idea (sku nightmare): Picking wood for tower, top, and spiral. Thinking of a tower that is Wenge with Padauk "stairs" with Ash trim. Have a feeling tower will be primary wood of screen (and understandably so, but food for thought).

They dropped a date! Think this’ll be the first Wyrmwood Kickstarter I’ll back. Usually I like the red/black of Paduak veneer, but there’s something about the dm screen that is just a bit too much🤔 Very excited for this project to release!

I love that dice tower. I feel like there should be a topper for it that makes it looks like a wizards tower when not in use and you can pop it off when you want to roll.
