Missouri Star Affiliate link for 20% off your purchase of $50 or more: glnk.io/mzmmj/pattymacmakes. You simply click the link which takes you right to their website. Then shop as normal. When you have $50 worth of products, the discount will come off automatically in the check out cart. Not everything is included with the discount, and I don't have any control over that. Generally the big ticket items like sewing machines and furniture is not included, but most everything else is. Including fabric and notions already on sale. Often they allow us to stack the discount onto the sale price so it really makes it worthwhile. I do explain it more in my most recent videos if you would like a visual representation to follow. There is no limit on how many times in a month you can use it!

I remembered to use your code and saved over $20 on fabrics for a wedding quilt and batting for a design wall to hang where the murphy bed lives.

That is FANTASTIC!!!! 20% is a huge savings and I know they have extended that through June. I hope they will keep it at 20% for a good long time. And thank you for using my link. I really appreciate it.

You're welcome!! Thank you for using it and I hope you love the fabric. It's really pretty! The backing fabric I used is out of stock, unfortunately, but hopefully they will get more back in.

Thank you for the beautiful strawberry tutorial. I love strawberries also. I decorate my kitchen with strawberry decor for summer. This is perfect for me. Wish me luck on the half square triangles! ❤ from Canada.😂😂😂

You can do it!! I recommend starting with 2 at a time HST units and follow the method of overcutting and trimming back. Here's my tutorial of that. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-k-JbZt696tI.htmlsi=NrEqVglJpuSRGGy_. Pulling a 4.5" HST from a 5" square is not easy, and I would not recommend it if you're new to them. Give yourself some time to practice making them first and then progress to more challenging setups. Definitely worth doing because you can do A LOT once you master accurate HST units. Good luck!!

Hi! I have a general question. When you make quilted wall hangings or table toppers, do you, or anyone, use cheaper or less luxurious batting since it is just going to be on a wall, or table top? Saves better batting for quilts to cuddle with.

Actually, I just use what I have. I only buy it on sale, so it's generally not terribly expensive. I use cheaper batting from Joann and buy it on sale with coupons. For something small like this, I pulled a piece from my scrap bag to use. I've heard that some people use flannel as their batting so that's an option for a table runner or a summer quilt. I haven't done it, personally. I make my projects to present as blog posts and videos, so I tend to use nicer stuff. That way it looks better in pictures etc. Most of my sewing is to create patterns and projects for my website and channel which is quite a bit different than sewing for pleasure or gifts. I hope that helps!

I’m trying to “cute-up” my kitchen. Wall space is limited and I can’t stop thinking about this adorable strawberry. I think I need her :). TY!

@PattymacMakes I have some vibtage Strawberry Shortcake fabric I want to use in a quilt so I'm trying to get some ideas on how to use it. It's columns and rows of her in different scenes but between each square there's hashed cut lines.
@PattymacMakes
@PattymacMakes 4 месяца назад
@@bbymks5 Why don't you make it as a whole cloth quilt? Instead of cutting it up, leave it in tact and run your quilting lines on the cut lines?? Of cut each one as a fussy cut and use it as a center like I did with the Sunshine Kittens. This line I'm showing in the video totally reminded me of Strawberry Shortcake!
