Missouri Star Affiliate link for 20% off your purchase of $50 or more: glnk.io/mzmmj/pattymacmakes. You simply click the link which takes you right to their website. Then shop as normal. When you have $50 worth of products, the discount will come off automatically in the check out cart. Not everything is included with the discount, and I don't have any control over that. Generally the big ticket items like sewing machines and furniture is not included, but most everything else is. Including fabric and notions already on sale. Another good backing choice is a 108 wide back. I find them to be less expensive, and you don't have to piece it.

Love the pattern. I've made five throws from that pattern. It's my favorite . Porch Swing fabric is beautiful!!

It is REALLY pretty. You just don't get the full impact of what you're getting just by those swatches on the website. It's so much better in person.

I made the Squared Up pattern using a 'Gingham Foundry' layer cake. Turned out gorgeous!! Super easy and super fun! I just bought the layer cake 'Porch Swing'... love, love, love!!!!

Porch swing layer cake I bought it because of that golden yellow color I love love that color! Moonchild charm pack I loved the ones that have the consolation that is really cute might need to get it in a layer cake💜 ohh I am thinking the Belle carnations solid for the background versus the white for the squared up quilt, Thoughts? Ohhh a make along would be fun!

The throw size uses 30 pieces from the layer cake which isn't bad at all! I"m going to go boring white for my background. LOL I think the prints are so pretty, I want them to shine. I'm not very good at organizing and running a make along, but I can try. Maybe one weekend I could host a live and we can cut and piece maybe one row together. That could be fun actually.

So relatable!!!!!!! I think this is the last month for the big discount, and then we return to 15% everyday for the discount. Which is still really good, especially when it can be used on top of something already marked down for a sale. But yeah, I broke my no spend to stock up a little and to get a few odds and ends to try out the items and checkout process I'm recommending to all of you. I've had to dig into my stash a little to complete a couple of things, so I need to replenish that since one item in particular was purchased for a specific project. But I love it so much in the baby quilt I'll be sharing with you this week, that it seems worth it to me to have used it in that project.

I have an idea for the Dutchy Blue Batiks. I instantly thought of the beach when I saw the layer cake, so I’m going to give my idea a try and hopefully it’ll turn out like the picture in my head🤞🏻 and I have a few more ideas for some other stuff I purchased today. I hope to have a huge stash of fabric in the future!!

49.9 is sooo close! Congrats. You're spot on about the low volume or even solid colors. When I started quilting in 2009 I went crazy buying novely fabrics but neglected the matching low volume and solid colors. Sometimes I can make other lines work but some are very hard to match. Thank you and MSQC for the discount! I have a lot of embroideries I want to do but very little solid pastels I wanted so I bought 1/2 yard of a about a dozen or so. I did buy some white too, LOL, but I wanted a color background for those I don't color in before embroidering. I have the Bella Solid Match Maker swatches which is nice but any new colors in the last 8 years isn't included. Then everyone started praising Kona solids. Do you know the difference or if there is one other than brand name? I want to try a table topper for a round table which I've been looking for. I had a cardboard one when they were popular but too flimsy. I'm trying to transform a bedroom into a craft room and there's not much room to maneuver things & I'm trying to get the garden area ready now. Our house is small too, under 1,000 sq ft but I'm glad I have it since "they" predict housing prices won't be going down anytime soon. I'm near Chi town and I would love to move further south and out of high tax IL but I'm stuck. I want the IKEA table you showcased with 2 drop down tables on each side but I bought two really nice ones at IKEA and they will have to do but they don't fold or anything. I'm mad at IKEA because they built a huge warehouse 5 mins from me but we still have to drive far to go to a store. Bummer. Lots of truck traffic. I digress, the height adjusts so one is for sewing, etc and one will be for cutting. I have a table for cutting that has two drop down leaves and it's not the greatest. I might make it into an ironing surface so I won't be unhappy if it gets warped. I used that wool thing for ironing and forgot my Lori Holt cutting mat was under it. They say it won't harm table tops but it sure warped that mat so I don't trust that claim! I use it to cut paper or small things and bought a new LH mat.

I need for about 100 or so new people to find me, and then I will have achieved my 50K subs goal. It feels surreal to finally be approaching that milestone! I don't know the difference between Bella and Kona, but that is an interesting question. Yeah, moving, especially out of state is really a hard thing to do. I would love to sell and move to a condo I've been looking at for the past 10 years, but now they have gotten so expensive, it's not worth doing. It's become unaffordable to make any sort of change now. So I'm just doing my best. I think it's all any of us can do.

@@PattymacMakes I did find out Bella is by Moda and Kona is by Robert Kauffman. I'm sticking with Bella mainly because I spent big bucks for that Match Maker Swatch thing before I knew about Kona.

Hope I can catch the upcoming live event. The block is adorable and I love the color theme. Do you have a cat(s)? I have 4 in the house and it's become difficult to do any crafting. My oldest cat doesn't bother me but the 3 younger ones are something else. Any tips on how to craft around cats. I can't always shut my door, especially in the summer since we have a window a/c. I have learned to count all my pins, needles and any sharp things to be sure I haven't dropped any. I also have several sticky lint wands and one is reserved to stick my threads snippings on. I'm always up for cat tips since I'm a dog person with no dog, just cats.

Oh gosh, I don't have any advice. We lost both our animals back in 2016 and never got any more animals due to the vet bills. I miss my pets but I'm really past the limit of what I can take on.

@@PattymacMakes Mom has 12 rescue cats. She's 91 and I guess they will be part of my inheritance-LOL. I'm emotionally involved now since I'm taking care of her and them. Only 4 are in the house. 2 live in the garage and the other 6 are outside but I have pet heating pads for them in the shed where they are now because it's turned chilly again. My last dog died in 2018. I invested a lot in her because I said she would be my last dog. I'm getting old too and on a fixed income now. She got cancer and was given less than a year to live but lived 6 years. We had two cats in the last year that had cancer. We did have an eye removed because we didn't know what was wrong-they autopsied it and it was melanoma. It went to her lymph nodes several months later which the vet said might happen. The other cat had fluid everywhere and couldn't breath. I told Mom I can't go in deep debt like I did with my dog. She understands. I can do smaller items but no long term health issues. I don't know how I kept up with the vet bills but Care Credit helped-never had to pay interest but at the end I owed almost 10 grand and that dug into my house down payment. Now I can't afford anywhere else so I'm stuck here. I'm blessed we have this small house and it's paid off. The cat food and litter is outrageous due to inflation so I wish we didn't have these cats. Too bad I can't let them out to use the potty like my dogs did-LOL. They would run away to the field.
