Hi Patty - So far, so good this year. I have fennel, dill and two types of milkweed in my habitat, and they (six caterpillars so far) are definitely enjoying the milkweed more. Wondering if they'll gravitate over to the other plants in the habitat once the milkweed is eaten, or if I should simply replenish the milkweed. Thanks for being a great source of info and inspiration.
That's great!! Each species of butterfly has their own unique host plant so they only consume certain plants. If they are eating up the milkweed then it's probably Monarch variety of butterflies. You definitely need to replenish that if they are eating it up. I'm so happy you are enjoying them!! I love my butterflies!
@@PattymacMakes thank you! I am keeping my eye on them. Glad you mentioned salamanders as predators; we have lizards that could possibly get into the habitat if I don't keep it all the way zipped up.
I watched the original video (from 3 years ago) recently and am searching your other videos to see if you figured out the Fat Quarter and Scraps storage yet and what you felt works best for you and ended up here. 💞 Thank you for sharing.
I do have something new coming out on Saturday talking specifically about fat quarters so be sure to tune in for that!! I have some other videos on how I store the precuts and how I wrapped my fat quarters so you should be able to find some different things to help you. Thanks for the question!
I have to share this...and thank you. MSQC has had some terrific sales lately, but I promised myself a "no fabric buy" time. Today's Daily Deal is their new rotary cutter - I have one and really like it. Could I justify a second one? Not as good a deal when you add in shipping. But then...saw today's sale on precuts - always have to look. I actually need a solid black jelly roll. And I found it on sale. Decided to buy 2, then added the daily deal which qualified me for "your" discount. Actually ended up getting the cutter for free! THANK YOU!! (I noticed they have increased their shopping cost. 😮 Oh well. I know you are grieving but hoping this brings a bit of a smile to your face. God bless you.
Oh I'm really happy you found some things you can use!! I haven't bought anything new from them in over a month. Not since this purchase. My life got turned upside down and I'm so behind on everything! Well, all the costs of everything continue going up and up, so I'm not surprised they had to increase the shipping rates. They are still the best deal in town, though! And thank you so much for using my link!

Thank you!! It's been quite a challenge and I'm hoping I have the paperwork done properly to facilitate the next stage of things. It has NOT been easy. I love the Verbena, but it's an older collection now so I will probably not do a sew along with it at this point. I did piece two panels from the charm pack to construct a new Alice bag for myself, so I'll definitely show you that when I get back to it.
