@@colinharbinson8284 No, but seriously : Aren't there loads of kids who would love that? And "deserve" it? My granddad would often take me to watch the changing of the Royal Guard in Copenhagen, at no time did anybody go near them. Besides, horses are nervous creatures, you never know when something spooks them, and they CAN kill you, even if it is not their intent. To me, this seems like a very stressful environment to place a horse in, besides the fact that I find it disrespectful not to keep a distance to the Royal Guard, and their horses..

It never stops amazing me how animals know when to eat a tourist and when to give a kid a beautiful moment. What a wonderful moment for that child and thank you Guard and horse.

Horses know these things. And more often then not. Don't even have to have special training. I grew up around horses, and worked with them. Rode many a mile on the back of a horse. Even helped out at a special needs day camp one summer. I was the Horse Guy. The two horses there, where very well mannered and gentle. And the kids just lit up around them. It was some good times, years and years ago. Good memories.

That's a beautiful moment. The officers were cool, didn't tell her to go back as she had time, the guard was respectful, acknowledged and appreciated her kindness, and what a sweet and polite young lady. Touching moment.

That was MAGIC as it made that little Girl's DAY... bouncing up and down in her chair..... It also MADE MY DAY..... To the Guard, I say as an ex serviceman from the 1950's era, Mate that would be a pay day for all the hours of monotony for you and your beautiful Horse.

Not only was this guard extraordinarily kind but the amazing thing is how the horse sensed the situation and leaned into the child to allow petting. I have watched these videos many times and never saw the horse's reaction like this! It was so beautiful to watch and the videographer captured a very precious moment!

The horse didn’t. Watch carefully at the soldiers left leg, he squeezes the horses left side to push the horse over. It’s done very slightly so you may not see it.
