Many Soviet Union songs are fairly popular and well-known in China, mainly because of the close relationship between these two countries in the past. Even those who born in the 1990s are quite familiar with them.

When I was in Beijing in 2004 I've heard a lady singing this song in a park and I was shocked because I was pretty sure only Russians, Polish, Ukrainians and Belarusians know this song.

Kung fu master singing "Moscow Nights". As someone hugely patriotic of my Russian ancestry, and hugely passionate of Chinese internal arts... this is like a dream sequence to me. And the snow scene just adds to that surreal beauty.

I lived in china for over 8 years, didn’t meet many Chinese that had any passion for traditional Gongfu sadly. I ended up studying Shotokan Karate.

石虎龙Ryan Gongfu is a special way of 修行 in Chinese culture, majority 敬而远之, just like the way Asians think about meditation. Except for 习武世家，We've told "They are not for ordinary people". People have different ways to express their respect for traditional culture. Some Chinese like traditional clothing, some Chinese like traditional gardening, most people like traditional medicine or traditional cooking. I like traditional literature. Every Chinese has his/her own way.

You made me want to know more about tai chi and taoism. I practice. Krav maga but feel my yin is neglected. I think tai chi might help me....and taoism is just...damn deep insights! Ah...and the wudang mountains...just fell in love with them!
