Hey George - I'm now watching more of your videos and sharing them with people. I think this kind of philosophy can give a purpose in life, and a reason to develop this peace within ourselves so that we can help other people to find theirs. We can all become zen nodes to spread the love! ❤
The TAO comes actually some believe from very ancient Trypillia on youtube a people in Eastern Europe from 7,000 Yrs B.C. For me the Tao doesn't really take your identity it allows me to understand rather than define the reality in which I live To Judge as Jason states isn't reality anyway so somehow Understanding life is actual learning It says in the Tao we are in THE DARK deaf and dumb Also fundamentally the Uncarved Block of wood? Did I know the Block of wood? NO I don't If you made something outside of yourself and do it every day and even all the time Did you actually KNOW what you Made? That's a Real pause for me because for me the Tao represents Understanding myself better and it's relationship with things around me I have to take a real step back this way because I yet still do not know me Nor do I know what OUTSIDE of myself my Relationship With the Things Around me and Other People? LOOK IN BOOKS FROM SCHOOL AND SEE WE HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH WE DID THIS OR THAT BUT? DID WE MAKE THIS OBJECT DO WE REALLY REMEMBER HISTORY? ARE WE WHAT WE LEARN?
@@PeachesCourage remember, the Tao that can be spoken is not the true Tao. We can only sense and experience the Tao and only in partiality. It's not something that can be grasped or understood. I don't believe this means we should just give up on knowing anything. The things we learn and know are always incomplete, but can provide great benefits in this life. Not to mention, learning is just fascinating. Seeing how things relate to each other in nature is truly endlessly interesting. We just need to be careful not to attach to rigidly to the things we think we know when they are outside of certain contexts. For example, the whole scientific endeavor has proven greatly useful to building technology and understanding many things, but it is still incomplete and likely wrong about a lot. The point is to keep refining. On the other hand, only certain kinds of knowledge are really necessary for survival. But it can also be enjoyable to study philosophy and gain insight into how and why we ought to act in certain ways. Taoism as a tool is wonderful for this. I love using it to question just about everything. There's nothing like living in a way that flows naturally. It feels amazing when everything lines up, or when you can bend to find that harmony
Ifound my Zen inbetween the outer and the inner Universes, in the Void where all possibilities are created in quantum leaps and inner realisations as I allow my Spirit-Soul Essence to heal all outer turmoil, stress and Ego related elements that we all have to clear on our path to grater health, wellbeing, peace and harmony. Everything 'out there' serves us as reminders of what we wish to have as a part of our healed life and what can be let go of for a time being, until synchronicity may take place in a more fulfilling and healthy ways to serve our individual paths and the world as One. ☀️🙏🕊
I've honestly had a hard time listening to Jason the last few years. I used to listen to his videos regularly. One day i decided to interact with some people on his channel about something that i find integral to philosophy, and that's ethics. I believe that ethics isn't just about how we get to the good life ourselves, but also how we treat other conscious beings. This includes animals. If we truly want to live ethically and in a non violent way, we should consider the effects of our actions on animals. Most notably, we shouldn't be abusing, enslaving them, or consuming them as commodities or food. This isn't what truly compassionate beings do to other beings. Am i wrong? Really, consider the situation from their perspective. I tried to raise this point in some comments under one of Jason's video, and the viewers I was conversing with gave me very rude and selfish responses. Jason decided to join in and liked their comments without ever engaging any of the points in a reasonable discussion. I may not be a person of authority on this, but to me, being a spiritual leader or a true philosopher, especially about eastern traditions that are supposed to involve compassion and consideration of others, you don't ignore animals' wellbeing and you certainly don't get caught up in ego based bickering to defend something that on the surface, any person who isn't a psychopath considers ethically horrific. Animals are being tortured by the tens of billions every year. It's a staggering number and most people who call themselves spiritual are still paying everyday for this to happen. I think by any reasonable ethics, paying someone else to do something unethical still makes one complicit and responsible. Is this not so? So if we actually look into where our animal based food or products come from (watch the documentary Dominion if you haven't), then we as good hearted people need to reject these practices and stop buying products that come from animals. Every time we eat meat or cheese or even just milk in our tea, we are contributing to a horrible amount of violence, which I'll refrain from describing, but you know is true. I guess what I'm getting at, is that people who consider themselves to be authorities, or spiritual, or philosophers, really need to take ethics seriously, and the last thing they should do is attack one of their audience members about ego, when that person clearly is acting out of compassion for other beings. The true "WOW" embodiment that we should all be seeking is not just inner peace for ourselves, but also for a non aggressive, non violent ethics towards others. The ONLY ethics or philosophy that i know that takes this seriously is veganism, at least as a starting point. Anything less means paying for and being complicit in animal abuse, just to increase our own egoistic pleasures. I clearly am not saying these things to virtue signal. I don't care about that. What i care about is actually making a change for the animals, which starts with us, as individuals. I would love to hear anyone's thoughts on this and see if, in a reasonable discussion, not based in ego, you wouldn't arrive at the same conclusions. We need to be the change we want to see in the world. ✌️🙏❤️
Do you know how many snakes, squirrels, birds and insects are killed to sustain your vegan products???? The hypocrisy of the vegan industry amazes me. As someone said "if you want to contribute to animal killing, become a vegan"
@@JesusHerrera-vx2pn please explain in detail how this is virtue signaling. Discussing ethics is not the same thing as virtue signaling. Am I asking for praise here? Show me where...
@@JesusHerrera-vx2pn you clearly don't understand how numbers work. Veganism doesn't claim to stop ALL animals from dying. It is a ethical philosophy about REDUCING the harm as much as possible and practicable. By no means can you have zero impact on the living world you are already a part of. Yes, animals die during farming. That's reality. But FAR LESS animals have to die when you are vegan. Vegan diets require 25% of the land that meat diets require. So that's 75% less harm to wildlife. You need to come up with better arguments before calling someone a hypocrite. What are you doing to make the world better for animals? Anything at all?
I used to think that about Jason, but he treated me terribly in his own comment section. I tried to raise some points about ethics, and instead of having a rational discussion with me, he joined in with others I was disagreeing with in a very egotistical and mean spirited way. It sucked, because I really enjoyed his content before that. The thing is if you push someone on their philosophy and expose any amount of hypocrisy, you'll see who they really are
I would have been, but Jason was actually extremely rude to me in his comments under a video. Even he gets wrapped up in ego when you question things about his philosophy. Had to stop listening at that point, which was disappointing, as I really enjoyed the channel before that
@@ABCDuwachui yeah, well when I try to engage in a thoughtful respectful way, and people turn that around and are rude, I question whether they really have the wisdom I might have been associating with them. We're all human, and I get that people make mistakes, but he didn't come back and apologize or try to interact any further after that. This isn't the mark of someone who really has a great spiritual understanding IMHO. I'm not about to waste my valuable time giving someone like that my support.
@@ABCDuwachui nowhere. I have most of the wisdom I need and just need to remind myself of it from time to time. There's always the Tao De Ching, or some good old Alan Watts lectures to help too
I'm still in shock... Yah showed me how Ancient Chinese knew of YESHUA before His birth. The 3 wise men, journied to Bethlehem to bring gifts. They would have had to leave their country before Yah was born so they could be on time! Thank You Yah
I find it a little sad that I've traveled to many different countries and was exposed to several cultures and religions, but not once did I get to _experience_ any of it...not like this. Your video, and Daoism itself, is showing us that we should slow down and learn to enjoy and appreciate life...all forms of it. Life is very beautiful. Thank you for showing us this.

0:50-1:22 The fact that classical Chinese writing works this way simply blows me away! What a culture! That the writing symbol, within itself, contains four words in three parts that together describe so much of the core of what defines Taoism as a philosophy simply blows me away! What an advanced culture! The writing symbols I am writing this in are simply abstract shapes that symbolize nothing!
This short tai chi dancing routine has invited so much playfulness in my life! I find myself being more playful and relaxed during the day, taking myself less seriously and being silly and joyful. Thank you so much, George!
