I'm 270lbs, pear shaped (small upper torso with large hips) and primarily a side and back sleeper. He's really right about it being perfect for that kind of sleeper. I use a gel-infused side-sleeper pillow (u-shaped) and get a perfect night's sleep every time. I love this mattress.

Nice socks! I like that this is a medium firmness (6.5/10). Even though I'm a side sleeper, I prefer something with a little more firmness. And I like that this mattress allows you to change position without getting stuck.

I have had mine for 3 months. I no longer have back pain but at times I feel its a little too stiff. I'm thinking about getting a latex topper.

Nice! We got ours and have used it for a week now. It’s definitely stiff so I’m hoping it’ll break in more as time goes and gets to feeling as soft as the one we tried in the store.

Gotta love the white glove delivery! So, this sounds like a very nice mattress overall. I love that it sleeps cool, is good for us couples and will be comfy for my side sleeping self and I do like the feel of gel infused memory foam. The strong edge support is another plus. I really hate when a mattress makes you feel like you are going to roll right off the edge.

Thank you so much. I like this mattress and the fact that I wouldn't get stuck when turning over, and the cooling gel infused foam layer. I think this would be perfect for me eventhough it's not as firm as the Beautyrest Black. It's the best of both worlds for me.

Pocket coils and memory foam! I believe that's the winning combination for a side/back sleeper like myself! Might want to hunt this one down to give it a quick try to test myself

Well since it is getting cooler here sleeping cool isn't that big of a deal, however I love this mattress because I've noticed I've gone from side to back frequently throughout the night so this is definitely a great mattress for me and should help relieve some of my body pain. The body/motion transfer tests always fascinate me to and love how I could roll around without disturbing anyone much. Plus FREE white glove delivery and remove my old mattress? YES PLEASE! Thank you for this great review!

My husband is a side/back sleeper and I'm a side/ stomach sleeper. He is basically a furnace when he sleeps, so I'd be willing to give up some firmness for the cooling feature.

Very happy to see this review, in the 3 years I've been searching I keep coming back to the BeautyRest hybrid as my favorite. Glad to see the cooling gel memory foam now too. Not sure if this would be soft enough as a primarily side sleeper or if I should go with the pillow top version. Being on the very light side I'm unsure if a bit firmer bed wouldn't feel as firm due to my weight... Love the white glove delivery & removal, especially as I live alone.

The Beautyrest looks like a well built mattress. I t sleeps cool and is a great choice for couples, side sleepers (back/side) and maybe not for a strict stomach sleeper.

I like to thank you for another great video....Also , I like to thank you guys for the education that I have learned over the past few months....I learned that for a couple like my wife and I weighing 500+ pounds-side sleepers, a firmer bed is recommended......because of our weights , most likely the bed will last way before 10 years.....So, my solution , the best beds for us might be the WinkBed and Saatva.....digging into the warranty, they both have generous discounts ......Winkbed = After 6 years 50% off a new bed....Saatva= 30% and more depending on year of use.....With that I can have a new bed feeling every 6 years and a cheaper price...I think thats awesome!!! Thanks again...

This looks like a really well made bed and of great quality. I was kind of excited to see that it had gel memory foam but was I was really surprised to see so much yellow in the pressure map testing on your side...for a mostly side sleeper like myself im doubting that this mattress would be the best choice...at least i know it would cause too much pressure in my hip area. I do like that it sleeps cooler due to the materials used. Thank you for a great review

This prob one of the most uncomfortable beds over ever had. I have the medium. I weigh 155. On platform frame. With bunkie board. I sink so deep. I haven't had a good night's sleep in weeks.

This one would be perfect for my mom. she prefers a more on top of bed feel. Would be perfect for her. she has a really bad back and even has had a few back surgery. most nights I put her in a reclining chair to sleep so she will be in less pain.

I am torn between Beautyrest Hybrid Medium/plush or the Saatva luxury firm or Plush/soft? unfortunately, I can't try the Saatva, So I am asking you for your opinion since you tested both. I am a side and back sleeper.

Hmmm, really close call tbh. Both great beds, but I would lean towards the Saatva Luxury Firm. Saatva offers a trial period or I believe they have them at Macy's if you really want to try in store.

I'm a side sleeper and I love memory foam, but it makes me so hot! You said the Beauty Rest hybrid mattress has gel infused memory foam. Is that better than gel mattress toppers? I get way too hot on those also. They are cooling and great for the first 20 minutes, then they get really warm. I had to take mine off. Just curious if you can feel the warmth the gel infused memory foam traps after laying on it for a bit.

I'm guessing your mattress topper probably uses a similar gel infusion to what's in the Beautyrest Hybrid. If you're looking for a super cool sleeping mattress you may want to check out the Brooklyn Aurora

ball drop test is useless, bed is super soft if your heavy, If you return there is. $100 min pickup/return charge plus 20% restocking fee @$2000= 400, and you pay $499 for the free adjustable base, so will cost you $1000 if you return $2000 bed at masters Firm.
