They literally had one of the first RU-vid rivalries back in 2008 or 9 before it was the mainstream juggernaut it is today - it was pretty well documented that they met up and made these rivals videos to out do each other, Doug became the angry video game critic and James did a nostalgia nerd episode reviewing turtles 3

He actually reviewed "Ricky 1" (some awful spoof of Rocky). AVGN's TMNT3 review came out way before the feud with NC

It's funny how in 2008 this was probably just some dumb, poorly acted review by a random guy. But now, since Doug's voice and persona is so recognizable, it holds up better than it did when it was released.

He puts so much more effort than James has ever done and that's why I fell in love with the Critic and still do. The Nerd I only liked up until his fucking movie. And yes Doug made horrible movies too but I only stuck to the reviews.

@@waddafugg3072 Well Doug has to sit down but he has had several filming locations including a recent temporary office setting until the main studio got fixed I mean what do you want Doug to do- stand up the whole time like the Smeghead? That hurts my legs for a long period of time. Plus Critic has a little variety unlike James or the guys at Red Letter Media who sit there and just talk to the camera all the time.
