One of the things I appreciate about another Columbian maker, Bordon, is that Bordon sends emails as made-to-order boots progress through each stage of production. Nice to hear that Beckett Simonon does something similar. That's nice from a customer relations standpoint. Thanks for the video on these, they look pretty nice.
@@Joseph_yy I have a Tukano and an Isidro, and a Wanes on order. Built like tanks. Longish lead times but very nice and tough. Half size down from Brannock. Happy to support Bordon.
I've had the burgundy ones for several years. I wear them every Sunday with a suit, even in the summer. Love them! So good looking and so comfortable. Thanks for the review.
I got some balmoral boots from Panuncio - they're a handmade Spanish/Cuban inspired balmoral boot in cognac with suede uppers and calf lower. Insanely gorgeous and well built - and Goodyear welted, with deep green vachetta lining.
A very formal boot. As you mentioned, it’s essentially an Oxford shoe in boot form. I first noticed them in a film, Withnail and I. One of the characters wears a beat up old pair. Great film, recommended if you like British humour. James Sparks-Hall seems to be very influential in the boot world . Unfortunately no relation as far as I’m aware.
Great overview and sizing info! Was looking at this specific boot same reason as you mentioned for formal events, looks amazing gonna have to wait until the next sale to pick one up
