Haha I feel like I should be(e) worried about how many people know how to do this but I was coming to say the same thing. Although you don’t necessarily need to chill them, there are tribes in Africa that will catch a lone bee and tie a piece of grass to it, let it go and then follow it back to the hive, then tah da! Fresh tasty tasty sweet honey. I was taught by a friend when I was a child to do the same to find native hives (Just for fun)Thankfully though the lil natives don’t have a sting in Aus.
I'd just like to point out that I really like Karl's portrayal of Jessica. Instead of honing in on the whole "Queen Bee thinks she's better than anyone, and the world is owed to her," they instead focus more on making her personality really creepy and psychotic. That's definitly a unique approach to the archetype I don't think I've seen before.
I love how Becky and Ello have such a good friendship Like how Ello just immediately recognized Becky in the nerd's body And how Becky told her to keep eating the butterscotch instead of feeling insecure WE ALL NEED A BECKY OR AN ELLO IN OUR LIVES

Why does no one talk about how the bully girl looks like the sociopath she is? Such attention to detail and I really hope in this new age of independent animation that someone picks this up and makes it a reality!
Come back to this every now and then for inspiration, more than being a good pilot, it feels like proof that you could viably make entire shows on youtube using only storyboards
I honestly love Jessica Kimly so much. She’s so expressive, and her character is so oddly psychotic it’s entertaining. I love characters who seem insane. And besides, her dialogue is hilarious.
I hope this concept gets reconsidered one day. Truly a piece that shows no sign of outdatedness. To find a concept that can withstand time and still be relevant, that is something to hold on to. Don't give up on this.
I think it’s pretty clever how in the beginning, Becky said she hated “overblown and unrealistic nerd stereotypes”, then the nerd stereotype appears, so she calls him out on being the punchline of that joke.

ello is adorable and she shall be protected for life. “no ello, don’t you spit that out. that’s Y O U R S to E N J O Y.” becky and ello are the best dynamic i’ve seen
I simply adore these designs. Especially the popular girl, Jessica. She just looks so demented and hellish. In fact the way her eyelashes curve make them look like devil horns!

I tend to always come back to this animatic, its so well made and so iconic with the main characters, i would love it to be an actual show or a small series :,)
I come back and rewatch this once in a while- it really is the full package. It’s hilarious, the art style and action poses and expressions and character design is all so good, the voice acting and sound design, all of it is so good
I literally love this! It's unfortunate nothing has come of this (at least i think nothing has), it's got such a unique style (not only in the art, also in the writing). I love how quick and snappy everything is! If anyone knows a show/pilot in the same style as this, please let me know!
When I was younger, I found the black and white storyboarding of this and the overall concept eery. I also wasn't too fond of the inappropriate language, lest my mother decide to loom over my shoulder in the 12 minutes and 19 seconds it took to watch this. Now, though? This shit fucking slaps. Aged like fine wine.

this videos been hanging around in my recommendations for so long that i can remember seeing it when i was younger (honestly i felt scared for some reason to watch it???) but now that i have,, this was one of the best animatics i’ve ever seen

This is still honestly one of the most intriguing pilots I've seen, really good story boards, punchy visuals, and writing. I wish somebody picked it up lol.
