Bedman: Xrd vs Strive [Character Moveset Comparison] 

Since I put this video together the day that Bed came out, I'm not surprised there were a few mistakes and tidbits of info I left out. I'll update this if I notice anything else! - First off for Xrd, Bedman's idle animation was basically low-profile, so if he went into it during roundstart - which actually happened a lot - the opponent would typically have to go for a low if they wanted to challenge him. This was kinda niche, but infamous in it's own way. Kinda like how Faust's bald head taunt has a hitbox- not the most useful tech, but it exists. - I completely forgot about Bedman's 6H in Xrd! 6H hits twice, and 6HH (pressing it one more time) hits a total of four times, with the last hit being the hardest, and plus on block. Every hit is special cancelable as well- all around a really great move! - I didn't mention Task A' (or Task A 'Prime') in the video since it didn't seem to have a counterpart in Strive. For those unaware, Bedman had a version of Task A that would teleport him to the side of the opponent that the head hits, on hit or block. It had a slower startup from Task A to differentiate the two moves, but Task A' is just like Task A- it can be done on the ground or the air, and Bedman can't do it again until the head hits something or boomerangs all the way back to him. - Speaking of "Tasks" I found it much less confusing to refer to Strive Bedman's special moves as Task A through C than their original names (also, Call A & B instead of a name like 'Call 0x0$0.20'), so that's why I gave them different names for this video. - For all of Bed's moves in Strive, 'Error' state is cancelled if he gets hit OR blocks an attack. It also goes away if it isn't used before a wall break (on either Bed or the opponent). Strangely, it seems to stay active during a Homing Dust, and you can even do Call 13C in the air during Dust! - Task C (or Call 4B9) can be delayed for a WHILE. On hit and fully charged, it sends them to the Moon. Literally, "Your Life Ends in __ Frames" - Call 13C enhances Task A, B, and C! When I tested the move out while I was grabbing the footage, I didn't notice my projectile or the head-pop being effected by the install, but they definitely are: All three moves will wallbreak if close enough on hit, and gain other buffs like increased damage, range, and frame advantage- Task A's projectile also gains Guard Crush! - During Call 13C, Bedman has an overall 10% Damage and Defense buff, and his projectiles also stay out after getting hit or blocking.

Also, his theme song was buffed to do emotional damage

You know, Bedman? Using electricity on a larger scale than Bedman makes a lot of sense since Delilah isn’t strapped onto him, he doesn’t need to worry about electrocuting her. Also allows for a wider range of movements

Bedman? is cool but the unapologetic swagger of bedman will never be topped

This was probably Strive's best DLC returning character redesign (from a pure cosmetic viewpoint) outside of Testament. Baiken is awesome and Bridget was also pretty cool, but this was a great design that shows progress of the story and looks badass as hell. Don't forget the Theme. Hopefully Season Pass 3 will keep up this trend.

Bedman vs. Deadman

I like the detail that Bedman?'s other arm is just totally broken in Strive. 5H only has 1 hit now cause the other arm is broken fS and 2D, even though the animation is very similar they only attack with one hand now 236H he can't properly move that arm so he just swings it at the opponent like a chain and it explodes on impact During his throw animation he uses his good hand to pick up the broken one and electrocutes the enemy with it He also drags that arm behind him during his walk and run animations, and it dangles below him during the air movement

Even if Hack was bad in XRD I kinda miss him. It was a meme in my playgroup, as our one and only bedman main would create good combos, put us in crazy pressure and then take his role as an anime villian, summoning a fricking SHEEP to end us. Miss that times

I miss the old Bedman, straight from the go Bedman, the very funny Bedman, set on his goals Bedman.😔🥰

His install will buff all of his passive error moves. It isn’t limited to Task B. A and C are both buffed too! Other than that, looks about right. As someone who’s first GG was Strive. It’s interesting to see this fun character’s before and after. Good work on the video!

So Bedman? in Strive can do meterless combos with throw, you need 236H’s error ready and you can combo off of it when doing a throw. What the *CIRCLE* doing?

Strive Bed's throw at least gives you a corner combo if you have Error B ready, makes it a good time to try a throw mixup

Good video! Interesting to see the changes they made. I appreciated the little fun facts, like Eddie's hitbox in Xrd. I also dig Bedman?'s new delay and instant moves for Error. I don't know how controlling he was in Xrd, but that must give him a LOT of freedom to mess around.

Do not *sleep* on Call 13C in strive, it does way more than buff task b. it buffs any follow up attacks from errors for next 5 seconds by a large margin, giving them special properties, higher damage, instant wall breaks when near the wall and a hard knockdown upon wall break as if it were it's own super. Call 13C is honestly a better install super than ky's dragon install in strive and is a force to be reckoned with.

Was looking forward to seeing this video! Just as cool as I hoped (though I'd would have been nice to see some of the faster normals done a few more times lol)

I do Miss Bedman's gameplay from Xrd, setting up those points to have his special moves go again from specific spots felt really fun, like a pseudo puppet character. He's still fun in strive but he (it?) feels a little less unique now.

Bedman? in Strive, is a she, that is if you are reffering to the person who is on screen with the bed. So you got that wrong, in your vid you said he, so yeah, thats a mistake.

old bedman is so much better than the new one. bedman? feels like getting my feet chopped off during a marathon And delilah, good god. I had to install a mod to not have to see her when playing, she's ruining my experience with the character. I literally cant see anything with her. (at least sheep is gone, theme is great too) They are not the same character whatsoever.
