Bee Gees were in France and wrote songs for their new album, they had 5 written before they got the call from Stigwood about his movie. Your facts are a little askew. Bee Gees were so much more than Disco. RIP Maurice and Robin together again 😢 ❤😢❤
Get it right, guys. When they left Australia, Barry was 19 years old and the twins were just 16. They are not a Disco group. A lot of the songs you play during this "history" are very obviously NOT disco. They are mostly R&B, but the Bee Gees happily crossed genres from Contemporary Country through to Progressive and Soft Rock. Their song writing and storytelling skills are what set them apart from most groups. Especially so because none of them could read or write music! "Jive Talking" came from the rhythmic sound of the car crossing a particular bridge as they travelled to and fro the recording studio. Perhaps you should listen to Barry's own words regarding how the soundtrack for Saturday Night Fever came about. Try "The Bee Gees Story: As Told By The Bee Gees".
No no no no never were they only about disco, they didnt want it and often they would get the hump when people referred them as a disco group. They were R&B musicians songwriters and singers Falsetto Vibrato and Maurice has the perfect in between pitch 👌
They were the best of the best and their influence still goes on; their final Album in 2001 was fabulous. Their inluence did not end in the 1990's - by no means!
I don’t remember Barry or Maurice ever saying that they split from each other. Only that Robin left and that he & Barry were at odds with each other. Anyone else know for sure?
Barrry and Maurice did an album together called Cucumber Castle. It is one of my favorite albums. They made a TV special out of it. I do not think Barry and Maurice made a personal split. It was mainly Barry and Robin who made.the personal and professional split.
@@laurieshreffler5028 - Barry said in 1969 that he was leaving as well to become a movie star but Stigwood threatened to sue him and Robin so he didn't. During the split Mo actually worked with Barry as The Bee Gees but also with Rob although Robin wrote and produced his own LP, Robin's Reign.
Robin and Barry left leaving Maurice who floated between the two. Barry fell out with all his brothers all the time, even Andy, who Barry says was like his twin, really strange dynamics, but Barry as the eldest took the lead, Robin was a gentle genius and always repaired the broken relationship, Barry was never as close to his brothers, the twins however were extremely close I think that got to Barry a little bit, being the oldest it was his way or no way. The Bee Gees are no more, although Barry still gives concerts, but includes the twins solos, There were no Bee Gees without the brilliant Vibrato from Robin and Maurice's superb knowledge of harmonies and musical skills

This video was filmed on the same film set used in the movie “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid”. It’s supposed to be a small town in Bolivia. The movie set was near the L.A. Studio that they were recording at.

In later years they always said they got back together because they were lonely on their own The real truth was the record company put them back together prior to floating the company on the stock market. As far as Maurice. The hospital say they don't talk. Sounds like a Big Cover up. They should of Sued the hospital and the doctors involved. If it was my Dad I would have. My Dad died of cancer.You never stop missing them no matter what. I miss mine. My memories r what keeps me so happy everyday. You neverstop
@silvia57... Yes, I remember that Robin went in for surgery after Maurice had died as he had the same condition. It's a shame one had to die before it was diagnosed, back in the days they were born, things like that were hardly pucked up as on the outside the kids looked well, a big like diabetes, my other half was diagnosed in his late 30's with a doctor telling him he had probably had it all his life,he can remember getting tired as a child but after having a surgar sandwich he always felt better.

Barry to this day still says they were already recording the songs to Saturday night fever before they were approached about the movie. I’m believing the Gibbs over this documentary
@@spence7985 Well they did say the producer asked if they had more songs like they had and went to work, Some songs were probably half finished and they went from there. The dramatic table writing session was probably something they always did but it sounds dramatic to say they did it and created history. That is probably how they created all their songs.
Stephen cannot replace Maurice or Robin, he's a great guitar player and singer but does not have the same type of voice, Robin's sons, both of them are musicians as is Maurice's daughter Sam who tours with Barry, Robin's Son's do their own thing and are both very good.
